The present invention is in the field of ice cream shaping, in particular it is relating to a mould for a frozen confectionery, suitable for creating a peelable frozen confectionery product. The present invention further relates to a shaped frozen confectionery product. There is still a need for an easy and effective mould that is suitable for making a peelable frozen confectionary product in a single mould without the need for a separate tool or device for making peeling lines, groves or other cuts. It is an object of the present invention to provide a mould for a frozen confectionery product that that makes grooves in the outer layer of a frozen confectionery products, especially peelable frozen confectionery products. We have found that a mould for frozen confectionery products comprising at least one inwardly protruding ridge, provides a tear line on peelable ice-cream made by said mould.

The refrigerant solution is captured between the molding cavities (23) and the base container (20). One or more sticks (50), a drip cup (54), and an extraction tool (70) may be provided with the frozen comestible maker (10) for preparing and extracting shaped frozen comestibles (92, 94), such as ice pops and popsicles, therefrom.

A system for use in creating form-moulded items of edible ice from a mass of ice is provided, the system comprising mould boxes arranged in a circle, wherein a first opening is formed between two neighbouring mould boxes for extraction of one or more created items of edible ice from moulds formed between said two neighbouring mould boxes. An index control is arranged to move the first opening by performing an angular rotation of one of the mould boxes, so that it is moved into the first opening, thereby closing the same, while the neighbouring mould boxes with items of ice in the moulds there between are not moved. Thereby, a new opening for extraction of completed items of edible ice is formed. Thus, it is achieved that the mould boxes do not need to be movable with respect to each other during formation of the first opening.

The present invention concerns a freezer segment for a freezer of the type used for casting confectionery in molds which are cooled for freezing and subsequently supplied with heat for a short period, whereafter stripping occurs. Cooling of the molds is effected by using direct evaporation of CO2. The advantage of such a freezer segment is that there is no use for both a primary and a secondary cooling circuit. Another advantage in using a system according to the invention is that working with temperatures down to about minus 50° C. is enabled, compared to about minus 40° C. with brine systems. The low freezing temperature entails that the capacity of a given system is increased by about 40%.

The present invention concerns an apparatus and a method for producing ice confection comprising mould cavities arranged on lamellae disposed in an endless belt along which are arranged process means for the production of the ice confection by conveying the lamellae between the process means, wherein the apparatus comprises an uneven number of lamellae and the process means are arranged along the belt in such a way, that the ice confection production process may be completed by two full circulations of one lamella on the belt. Due to the uneven number of lamellae a specific lamella will change stop position for each circulation. Hereby, a number of advantages are obtained through an optimal utilization of the lower lamella sequence, such that the shortest possible apparatus is obtained.
