    摘要： A ski boot comprises an essentially stiff outer boot and a soft inner boot (49) or inner lining for receiving the foot of a skier. The sole (13) of the outer boot is made of an essentially rigid material, preferably plastics, comprising an elastic zone (15) in the metatarsal region of the sole (13). The elastic zone (15) divides the sole (13) into front and rear sole portions (19, 17). An intermediate upper shell portion (29) is provided between the front and rear shell portions (27, 21) of the outer boot, which is designed such that front and rear shell portions (27, 21) are pivotable with respect to each other. The heel portion (23) and rear sole portion (17) are designed to be in an essentially rigid relationship such that a maximum force can be applied to the elastic zone (15) of the boot. When the skier leans forward the front and rear shell portions (27, 21) pivot relative to each other. Due to the attachment of the lower leg to the rigid spoiler shaft (25), the ankle of the skier is braced securely to not flex or bend and the center of gravity of the skier can therefore remain in its most favored and athletically efficient position.

    摘要： The invention concerns a ski boot having a shell (1), a movable toe cap (2) and a leg (3). In the pivot region of the toe cap (2), the ski boot has a recess (5) which is closed by a covering (6) of the toe cap (2). The covering (6) engages below the instep area of the shell (1) and, viewed along the longitudinal section of the ski boot, is curved spherically with a radius corresponding to the distance from the imaginary pivot axis of the toe cap (2). At the free edge of the covering (6), and also of the recess (5) on the instep side, strips (7, 8) facing one another are each provided with hook-shaped undercuts which engage one another in an interlocking manner in the extended position of the sole (4) or toe cap (2). Associated with a tongue (9) of the covering (6) in the longitudinal centre of the ski boot is a locking device (10, 10') which is guided transversely to the covering and which, as a variable stop, permits, restricts or prevents play in the movement of the toe cap (2). The locking device (10, 10') is displaced by a Bowden cable (14) against the force of a spring (15). An actuating lever (17, 22, 22') is provided which additionally secures the leg (3) with respect to the shell (1) in the forward lean position. The toe cap (2) is advantageously locked by the effect of tension on the Bowden cable (14) which is released on unlocking with respect to the actuating lever (17, 22, 22').

    摘要： A ski boot (12) and a ski boot incorporating a releasable ski binding (14) which attaches the boot to a ski (15). The boot-binding includes a first connecting portion (76) secured to the ski, a second connecting portion (114, 116) secured to the boot, a plunger (88, 134) combination for releasably coupling the first and second connecting portions so that the boot may release in any direction, and an actuation device engaging the plunger combination for maintaining coupling of the first and second coupling portions. The actuation device has a pivotal lever arm mounted for withdrawing one of the plungers and an arm stay secured to the ski boot for releasably retaining the pivotal lever arm (306). The ski boot includes a living hinge (46) in the sole (16) to facilitate walking in the boot, and the hinge may be locked to inhibit the hinging function. The boot extends well above the ankle and is stiffened on the inside or outside to securely mount the arm stay. For retaining a foot in place, the boot includes a foot-enveloping foot positioning device (400) which surrounds the arch and instep of a foot inside the ski boot when the boot is worn. The foot positioning device (400) is adjustable to both fit the foot and also hold the foot at the heel of the boot.
