In order to increase the temperature of the water which is siphoned to the filter space the receptacle (10) is provided with a by-pass duct (21) which discharges adjacent the filter space (8) and through which the comparatively cold water at the beginning of the preparation process is fed. As a result of this only the subsequently supplied hot water is siphoned to the filter space and is used for the filtering process.

Sie besteht darin, daß er zwei Ausflußvorrichtungen (7, 17) aufweist, von denen die eine (7) einen geringeren Durchflußquerschnitt und eine Einlaßöffnung (15) in unmittelbarer Nähe des Becherbodens (4) aufweist und von denen die andere Auslaufvorrichtung (17) einen größeren Durchflußquerschnitt und eine Einlaßöffnung in einem Abstand oberhalb der Einlaßöffnung (15) der ersten Auslaufvorrichtung aufweist, wobei der Durchlaufquerschnitt der ersten Auslaufvorrichtung so klein ist, daß sich die Flüssigkeitssäule zwischen Filterpapier und Behälterwand so langsam absenkt, daß die Flüssigkeitssäule im Filterpapier bei bestimmter minimaler Kaffeemenge eine hinreichend lange Zeit mit dem Kaffeemehl in Berührung bleibt.
