    摘要： An ultrasonic clamp coagulator assembly that is configured to permit selective cutting, coagulation and clamping of tissue during surgical procedures. An elongated portion of the instrument can be configured for endoscopic applications and has an outside diameter of less than 6mm. The construction includes a clamping mechanism, including a clamp arm pivotally mounted at the distal portion of the instrument, which is specifically configured to create a desired level of tissue clamping forces, exceeding 4 pounds when the trigger is fully closed. The clamping mechanism includes a two-piece pad design and pad material that enables the higher tissue clamping forces and a force limiting mechanism that effectively smooths out abusive tissue forces. The assembly also features hand activation configured to provide an ergonomical grip and operation for the surgeon. Hand switches are placed in the range of the natural swing of the surgeon's thumb, whether gripping the surgical instrument right-handed or left handed.

    摘要： Provided are an endoscopic surgical device, an endoscope, and an endoscope operating tool capable of changing a visual field suitable for detailed observation and treatment and improving surgical efficiency, in a configuration in which the endoscope and a treatment tool inserted through two insertion passages provided in an overtube are operable in an interlocking manner each other. An endoscope 100 and a treatment tool 200 are respectively inserted through an endoscope insertion passage and a treatment tool insertion passage of an overtube 300 inserted into a body wall. A forward and backward movement operating part 130 provided in a cable part 104 provided to extend from a base end of an endoscope insertion part 102 of the endoscope 100 is arranged at a position adjacent to an operating part 204 of the treatment tool 200. The forward and backward movement operating part 130 includes a hook part 132 having an opening 134, and a forward and backward movement operation of the endoscope 100 can be performed by passing the index finger of a right hand gripping the treatment tool 200 through the opening 134. Therefore, the forward and backward movement operation of the endoscope 100 can be performed with the forward and backward movement operation of the treatment tool 200 using only the one hand that operates the treatment tool 200.

The articulator comprises an articulator drum (160) with a female thread or threads (156a, 156b), and the proximal ends of the wires are connected to wire pivots (153a, 153b) which engage the female thread(s) respectively via male threads (155a, 155b). When the drum is rotated, the wire pivots move towards or away from each other as they follow the female thread(s), causing the basket to move transversely from side to side.
