摘要:
An artificial teeth articulator according to the present invention has a structure comprising: a height control means installed between a holder and a table, for controlling the height of the table installed on a base plate and a top plate by using the holder; a width control means installed on the table, for controlling individually from five directions the width of a tray seated on the table so that the periphery of the tray is held by means of pressing force; and a jaw gap control means installed so that the horizontal tilt of the table can be individually controlled from three different directions through graduations formed on a support rod, when supporting the table by vertically sliding along the outer circumference of the support rod. As a result, more accurate control is enabled so that the jaws can be more real-istically and closely recreated, and the advantages of a simpler structure and operation, and minimization of margin of error can be provided.

Disclosed is an articulator to check the alignment of teeth by attaching upper and lower jaw models. Upper and lower jaw parts have simple movement structures, the occlusal error of upper and lower jaw models is minimized, and the upper and lower jaw models are accurately mounted on an occlusal plane. A conventional articulator is manufactured by emulating the shape of upper and lower jaw movement and has a folding structure in which the position of the reference axis of the articulator corresponds to the condyle. The articulator has a structure except for the movement of a specific muscle, so that errors occur in upper and lower jaw movement. Even if the errors are reduced by using various auxiliaryunits, the post-process is essentially required. Occlusion is not accurately performed in the conventional articulator, but the structure of the articulator is excessively complicated and a worker has difficult with the work. The disclosure employs a reference axis on a line extending from a central plane of the upper and lower jaw fixing members, such that the tangential line of the rotation movement is perpendicular to the occlusal plane. The disclosure moves up or down more similarly to physiological movement when comparing with the conventional articulator to finely adjust the occlusal state by using an auxiliary unit, so that the error margin of the articulator is minimized, and the operating structure and the use of the upper and lower jaw fixing members are simplified.

An apparatus for use in dentistry to record and analyze mandibular movement comprises a rigid support frame for supporting a maxilla support member, a positionable mandibular member and sensing assemblies. The support member fixedly attaches to the support frame. The mandibular member is positionable proximate the maxilla member. The positional data is collected by a computing device and stored in a data storage medium as time history files. The files can then be transformed into usable information to replicate the mandibular movement in real time either virtually or mechanically. The mechanical articulator includes a base frame, an arm connected to the base frame and a suspension assembly positionable by a plurality of electro-mechanical actuators. The plurality of actuators each selectively impart movement to the sides of the suspension assembly such that the movement of the mandible obtained during a recording process can be replicated on the apparatus in real time.
