摘要: Provided is nonwoven fabric for absorbents which has excellent diffusing properties. This nonwoven fabric is for absorbents that comprise cellulosic fibers, which are hydrophilic fibers, and is characterized by having an upper surface and a lower surface which is on the reverse side therefrom and by having, in the upper surface, ridges and grooves which extend in the lengthwise direction and are arranged alternately along the width direction. The nonwoven fabric is further characterized in that a portion A extends as the lower-surface-side part of each ridge, a portion B extends as the upper-surface-side sidewalls and top of the ridge, and a portion C is sandwiched between the portion A and the portion B and that the proportion of fibers in the cross-sectional area of the portion A is higher than the proportion of fibers in the cross-sectional area of the portion B and the proportion of fibers in the cross-sectional area of the portion B is higher than the proportion of fibers in the cross-sectional area of the portion C.

摘要: An absorbent article (20) such as a diaper comprises a topsheet (24), a backsheet (25) and an absorbent core (28). The absorbent layer comprises at least a longitudinally-extending central portion (60), and a first and second side portions (61, 62) disposed transversally outward of the central portion. The absorbent core further comprises first and second folding guides (261, 262) between the central portion and the side portions. Each side portion comprises a plurality of winglets (610-613, 620-623), each winglet having a proximal side (6200, 6210, 6220) relative to a folding guide and extending outward from this proximal side, and wherein neighboring winglets are separated by a gap between their neighboring sides (6202-6211, 6213-6221). The central portion and the side portions form a three-dimensional basin when the absorbent core is folded along the folding guides. The top layer (16) of the core wrap is bonded to the bottom layer (16') of the core wrap through the folding guides and/or at least some of the gaps between the winglets. The absorbent core may be substantially free of cellulose fibers.

摘要: Disclosed are absorbent structures including fibers bound with a polyvalent cation-containing compound and superabsorbent polymer particles. The fibers exhibit an ion extraction factor of at least 5 %. Also disclosed are multi-strata absorbent structures, such as disposable absorbent articles, including the treated fibers and SAP particles. Further disclosed are methods for preparing absorbent structures including the treated fibers; structures including fibers combined with a polyvalent cation-containing compound; and methods for treating or coating SAP particles with polyvalent cation-containing compounds.

The nonwoven material has a basis weight of 20-40 g/m2, 3-20 through holes per cm2, the holes having a diameter in CD and MD of 1-3 mm, and at least 70% by weight of the nonwoven ADL includes fibers having a fiber diameter of 12-22 μm.

The absorbent system can have at least a fluid intake layer, an absorbent core, and a distribution layer. The fluid intake layer and the absorbent core can define an aligned annular opening in the absorbent system and can maintain the topsheet layer in a spaced apart relationship from the distribution layer.
