摘要: Accordingly, embodiments of the present invention provide an IOL insertion device that facilitates the injection of the IOL in a controlled manner The insertion device includes a front modular portion and an injector. The modular portion may be preloaded with an IOL and coupled with the injector. The injector includes a distal portion, a body, and a plunger. The distal portion includes a front seal which has a longitudinal bore at the center, through which a distal portion of the plunger passes. The plunger tip is tapered. The plunger also includes a sealing element situated between its distal portion and its proximal portion. The sealing element includes a small aperture through which a fluid, such as a viscoelastic or a balanced salt solution (“BSS”) and the like, may pass toward the proximal end of the body when the plunger advances distally. As the fluid passes through the small aperture on the sealing element on the plunger, a constant speed and force is maintained as the IOL is ejected into the eye.

摘要: The insertion device (2) includes a main body (3) including a lens housing portion (3b) in which an intraocular lens (1) is housed and an insertion cylindrical portion (3a) for ejecting the lens into the eye through its front end opening (3j), a pushing shaft (4) configured to move the lens from the lens housing portion to push out the lens into the eye through the insertion cylindrical portion, and a liquid flow path (10) configured to cause liquid filled in an inside of the main body to flow from the inside of the main body to an outside thereof, the liquid flow path not including the front end opening (3j). The pushing shaft includes a structure configured to shut off the liquid flow path after the lens is ejected from the front end opening and thereby flow of the liquid through the front end opening is allowed.

摘要: An intraocular lens insertion device which can smoothly push out a lens disposed beforehand. An intraocular lens insertion device 1 has a main body 3 comprising a lens setting part 8 where an intraocular lens 2 is disposed, a transition part 22 which deforms the intraocular lens 2, and a nozzle which ejects out the intraocular lens 2, and a lens pushing mechanism 4 which pushes out the intraocular lens 2 disposed at the lens setting part 8. Only the transition part 22 and the nozzle 21 are applied with a hydrophilic coating. The lens setting part 8 has a lens holding table 12 which supports the periphery of the intraocular lens 2. An upper surface 12a of the lens holding table 12 is a rough surface.

摘要: An insertion device (30) for an intraocular lens (20) includes a lens-holding section having a cavity for accommodating an intraocular lens (20), a deforming section for deforming the lens (20) to a reduced size, an insertion tube (32) through which the deformed lens (20) is inserted into an eye, a pusher mechanism (34) for pushing and inserting the lens (20) into the eye, and a lens-moving mechanism (13) for moving the lens (20) from a standby position to an insertion position at which the pusher mechanism (34) can push and insert the lens (20) into the eye. A lubricant is injected into the interior of the insertion tube (32) and/or the cavity of the lens-holding section for smooth insertion of the lens (20). The insertion device (30) has an indicating mark (40) for indicating a quantity of injected lubricant. Further, the insertion device (130) includes an erroneous operation prevention member (140) for preventing accidental operation of the lens-moving mechanism (113).
