Abstract:
An infusion set (1) for administering a medical fluid to a patient (P) comprises an inlet, an outlet, a flexible tube (12) providing for a fluid path in between the inlet and the outlet, and a drip chamber (11) arranged on the flexible tube (12) at a location in between the inlet and the outlet. Herein, the infusion set (1), in a delivery state, is closed at the inlet and the outlet in a fluid-tight manner, wherein at least the tube (12) is prefilled with a medical solution in the delivery state. In this way an infusion set is provided which allows for a more efficient workflow in clinical practice for administering a medical solution to a patient.
Abstract:
The priming method includes the steps of: in a state where a contrast agent bag (16) containing a contrast agent (Z) is coupled to a second tube (10B), moving a second piston (512B) in a second syringe (510B) backward to introduce the contrast agent to the second syringe (510B), and with a first tube (10A) kept open, moving the second piston (511 B) in the second syringe (510B) forward to discharge air in the second syringe (510B) to the outside and to fill the first tube (10A) with contrast agent (Z).
Abstract:
The invention relates to an apparatus for automatic ejection of a fluid, having a drive train for automatically ejecting the fluid from a fluid reservoir through an ejection channel, and having a control unit (510) for controlling the apparatus, the control unit (510) being configured to detect failures of drive train actuation steps (610, 620), during which the drive train is actuated for priming or fluid dose ejection, the control unit (510) being further configured to control the apparatus as a function of an actuation step failure number, the actuation step failure number being the number of failed drive train actuation steps (610, 620) since the last successful drive train actuation step (610, 620). The invention further relates to a system comprising such an apparatus a disposable assembly attachable to the apparatus and to a method for controlling such an apparatus.
Abstract:
An automatic refill procedure for a fluid injector system comprising a fluid injector and an operably engaged syringe, comprising: determining, using an electronic control device operably controlling the fluid injector system, whether a fluid injection procedure involving the syringe is impending; and initiating an automatic refill of the syringe if the electronic control device determines that the fluid injection procedure is not impending, such that the automatic refill of the syringe will not interfere with the impending fluid injection procedure.
Abstract:
An injector head (1) with rotation mechanism allows selection between a state in which a syringe (510A, 510B) assumes a priming orientation with a through hole (512) of the syringe (510A, 510B) positioned upper than the injector head body (100), and a state in which the syringe (510A, 510B) assumes a contrast agent injectable orientation with the through hole (512) of the syringe (510A, 510B) positioned lower than the injector head body (100).
Abstract:
Apparatus (10) comprising a patch-sized housing and an active mechanical assembly disposed within the housing, the active mechanical assembly including a mechanical pump and an actuation assembly for operation of the mechanical pump, the actuation assembly including a plurality of actuators, each capable of operating the pump independently of the other actuators so as to provide for redundancy in the event of failure of an actuator.
