    摘要: The invention provides in one aspect a drug delivery device comprising a drug container (16), and a plunger (18) positioned within the container assembly, the drug container assembly having an outlet for dispensing the drug, wherein, in an initial position, the outlet is sealed; a drive mechanism comprising a first stored energy source (42) operable to apply pressure on the plunger or the drug container to pressurise the drug, and a first release mechanism operable to unseal the outlet after the drug has been pressurised. In another aspect, there is provided a drug delivery device comprising a housing, including an external housing portion configured to be held in use and a drug containing portion containing a drug, a needle assembly comprising a needle fixed to a needle hub, the needle hub configured to move relative to the drug containing portion from an initial position within the housing to an insertion position in which the needle extends beyond the housing, a first stored energy source configured to move the needle hub from the initial position to the insertion position, and a plunger within the housing and configured to move relative to the drug containing portion to eject the drug through the needle when the needle is in the insertion position.

    摘要: The invention relates to an injector device for delivery of liquid from a high pressure source, and also to a method of performing such an injection. The device comprises a storage chamber (6), for the liquid or the liquid precursor components, comprising a storage barrel (16) with at least a section of substantially constant cross-section, defining a storage chamber axis, and a pressure chamber (4) comprising a pressure barrel (10) of substantially constant cross-section, defining a pressure chamber axis, for accommodation of at least one piston therein and having a front end opening (14) for ejection of the liquid. The pressure chamber being of sufficient strength to sustain the liquid pressure. The chambers are separate parts and adapted to cooperate with each other during injection so that the pressure chamber axis and the storage chamber axis substantially coincide, and that the pressure barrel and storage barrel have internal diameters sufficiently similar to allow passage of a resilient piston from the storage barrel to the pressure barrel in a sealing manner. The liquid is transferred from the storage chamber directly into the delivery chamber when the jet injection is to be performed.

    摘要: The invention relates to a twin-chamber receptacle for accommodating and combining two separate components, at least one of which is liquid.
