    摘要: An educational toy set concerning coloring or modeling that is so interesting that children will work thereon voluntarily. The educational toy set includes a three-dimensional model animal (10) having an animal shape portion, a plurality of paints (22) applicable to the three-dimensional model animal (10), an applicator (24) for applying the paints (22), and an enclosure (40) for accommodating these components. The three-dimensional model animal (10) is produced by precisely molding potter's clay containing water by using a mold having a large number of split mold members, followed by drying and firing. The surface of the three-dimensional model animal (10) has a large number of recesses and projections and is substantially white. The enclosure (40) has chambers for accommodating the three-dimensional model animal (10), the paints (22), and the applicator (24), respectively. A part of the enclosure (40) is transparent.

    摘要: A reusable, fluid-swellable absorbent composition (20) is disclosed. The composition generally includes a superabsorbent polymer, a gum, a film-forming resin and gelatin. The composition may further include a colorant and/or reflective particles, and it is particularly well-suited for use with amusement devices (10), such as for use by children. The device (10) includes at least one sample of the invented composition, preferably including colorant and/or glitter, a volume of water (24) and a structure (10) including a base (12) and a closed perimeter extending outwardly from the base. The structure (10) includes a plurality of discrete regions (16), and may collectively resemble an object, scene or other image. Then upon placement of a small quantity of the composition (20) into a particular region and addition of water to the quantity, the composition swells, expands and generally conforms to the shape of the region.

    摘要: Products intended for use as hand mouldable materials should meet the objectives of not causing pain to the user when held in the hand, and retaining malleability for a sufficient but not excessive length of time.
    The invention hand-mouldable compositions comprise selected copolymers of lactones and lactides which manifest a melt temperature T m in the range of from 48 to 58°C and a crystallisation temperature T c in the range of from 16 to 30°C. They are preferably produced from ε caprolactone and L-lactide, most desirably in a weight ratio of from 94:6 to 91:9, and especially at a reaction temperature in the range of from 150 to 190°C. They are often coloured and can be employed in kits.
