A primary filter element is disposed in the housing and axially extends between first and second axial ends that respectively are adjacent the first and second axial ends of the housing, the primary filter element has a hollow interior and a first axial length. A secondary filter element is disposed in the hollow interior of the primary filter element, the secondary filter element having a second axial length, the second axial length being longer than the first axial length of the primary filter element. The filter further includes an end cap disposed on the second axial end of the primary filter element.

The filter receiving portion (142) extends from the tubesheet receiving portion (144) to force one portion of the gasket (160) into sealing engagement with a portion of the tubesheet (84) upon engagement with the mounting collar (160).

摘要： There is provided an air filter element which is used by fitting a central opening in its end plate on a cylindrical portion projecting into a casing, wherein the air filter element has a novel seal construction (end plate). An end plate (10) closing the end surface of a hollow cylindrical filter portion (2) includes a soft inner peripheral seal portion (11) capable of sticking to the outer surface of a cylindrical member (33) and a rigid closure portion (13) which is disposed on the outer periphery side of the inner peripheral seal portion and in which the end surface of the filter portion is embedded, the end plate being of composite construction in which the inner peripheral seal portion (11) and the closure portion (13) are integrally molded. On the outer periphery side of the inner peripheral seal portion (11), a groove (12) axially extending from an end surface (10a) of the end plate is formed along the opening. The inner peripheral seal portion (11) effects reliable center seal with respect to the cylindrical member (33), while the closure portion (13) on the outside thereof improves the rigidity of the air filter element.

摘要： An air cleaner (10) includes a housing (12) having a first section (14) and a second section (16). The first and second sections (14) and (16) are rotationally adjustable relative to one another. Alignment teeth (42) and (60) engage one another to position the two sections (14) and (16) relative to one another. Buckle type clasps (60) engage a ridge (44) to cam together the sections (14) and (16) and lock them in sealed engagement. A mounting bracket (80) includes a somewhat flexible band (82) which extends around the housing (12). The band (82) includes raised block portions (88) extending radially inward and spaced about the inner surface of the band (82). The housing includes a locking portion (30) having recesses formed therein which are spaced and aligned to receive raised block portions (88) of the mounting band (82). When the bracket (80) is placed around the housing (12), the raised block portions (88) engage the recesses of the lock portion (30) and the bracket (80) is held in place. If rotational adjustment is needed between the bracket (80) and the housing (12), the band portion (82) is flexed outward so that the raised block portions may disengage. The band (82) is then unflexed to retain the bracket (80) in its new position.
