    摘要: A mixer for fluid products, including a base, a support structure mounted on the base and rotatable about a first axis of rotation, and a housing structure having a housing for a container of fluid products. The housing structure is mounted on the support structure at a radial distance from the first axis, and can be rotated about a second axis of rotation which is at a radial distance from the first axis. A motor is mounted on the base for transmitting a rotational movement to the support structure about the first axis a first transmission. A second transmission transmits the rotational movement to the housing structure about the second axis. The housing for a fluid product container is at a radial distance from the second axis so as to impart, during use, a combined epicyclic movement to at least one container accommodated on the housing structure.

    摘要: An analyzing apparatus includes a turntable (1), and a plurality of reaction containers (2, 82) which are arranged on the turntable (1). This turntable (1) is intermittently rotated so that the train of reaction containers (2, 82) is alternately exerted a conveyed state and a stopped state to. The outer walls of part of the reaction containers (2, 82) in the train of reaction con­tainers are in contact with a fixedly provided friction flange (120, 84, 85), while the remaining reaction containers in the train of reaction containers is not in contact with the friction flange (120, 84, 85). Since the reaction containers located in a area where they make contact with the friction flange are conveyed while they are contacting with the friction flange as the turntable is rotated, the motion of the turntable is transmitted to the reaction containers, and the reaction containers (2, 82) are thereby rotated on their own axes so as to allow the reaction liquid in the containers to be stirred. The rotation of the reaction containers (2, 82) on their own axes is stopped when they reach an area where they do not make contact with the friction flange (120, 84, 85). After the rotation of the reaction liquid in the reaction containers has been substantially stopped, the light measurement of the reaction liquid is performed using a photometer (70).

    摘要: The invention is a laboratory mill that allows small samples to be shaken, mixed, ground, homogenized or comminuted effectively within a small vial. The design is similar to a planetary mill but unlike those devices, neither axis of rotation is centered on the axis of the processing vessel. The design allows many vials to be processed at one time and even when the diameter of the vial is quite small, maintains the processing performance. The performance of the device when used as a comminuter is demonstrated showing that the device can comminute organic solids down to a median particle size of 1 micrometer with a narrow size distribution. Because the processing takes place within a vial, the mill does not require cleaning between samples which allows the application of the device in automated or high throughput systems. Since the action occurs in one plane, vials are able to be retained by a stationary plate above the vials and additionally makes the device amenable to automation of sample loading and unloading.
