Described is a rolling bearing (1) for a rocker arm, said rolling bearing comprising an at least partly circular outer part (2), an at least partly circular inner part (3) and a number of rolling elements (5) which are fitted between the outer part (2) and the inner part (3). The rolling bearing is peculiar in that at least one of the rolling elements (5) comprises two opposite, curved side faces (6, 7), which viewed in at least one cross-sectional constitutes arc lengths of the same imaginary circle (10), and which constitutes contact faces for the outer and the inner circular part (2, 3) respectively, and at least one side surface (8, 9), which lies within the mentioned imaginary circle (10). It is hereby obtained that the number of rolling elements in the bearing can be increased, thereby reducing the load on each single rolling element subject to the same total load rate, thereby increasing the total load bearing capacity of the bearing. This is due to the fact that at least a part of the roller face of the traditional circular rollers which do not get into contact with the outer or inner part of the bearing through small reciprocating angular rotations is omitted thereby significantly reducing the space taken up by each of the rolling elements in the circumferential direction of the bearing.

Described is a roller mill (1) for grinding particulate material such as cement raw materials, cement clinker and the like, said roller mill (1) comprising a grinding table (3), a set of rollers rotatable about a vertical shaft (5), said set of rollers comprising a number of rollers (4) rotating about separate roller shafts (6), which are connected to the vertical shaft (5), and a nozzle ring (7) for directing gases into the roller mill (1), said nozzle ring (7) enclosing the grinding table (3), and means (8) for regulating the gas flow through the nozzle ring (7). The roller mil is peculiar in that at least some of the regulation means (8) are arranged to rotate together with the set of rollers. In order to ensure optimum regulation of the gas flow through the nozzle ring in relation to the uneven load imposed by the material, thereby optimizing the roller mill operation in terms of capacity, grinding efficiency and energy consumption, the position of at least some of the regulation means for regulating the gas flow through the nozzle ring relative to the set of rollers remains the same at all times. The gases which are introduced into the mill via the nozzle ring will, therefore, always exhibit the same flow pattern in relation to the set of rollers.

The roller mill is peculiar in that the grinding table (3) is rotatable about the vertical shaft (4) and in that the roller mill (1) comprises means (10,11) for introducing gases into the mill housing (2) and means (12) allowing for continuously diverting ground material suspended in gases out of the mill housing (2). It is hereby obtained that the grinding process is performed continuously as the material fed to the grinding table is transported across the grinding table, by means of the centrifugal forces to which the material is subjected due to the rotation of the grinding table, to the rollers where it is ground and subsequently suspended in the gas introduced in the mill housing, whereafter the ground material in suspended form is diverted through an outlet connected to the mill housing.

As a consequence hereof, a significant reduction of the pressure loss in a roller mill and thus a significant reduction of the energy consumption will be ensured.

Grinding wheels (17-20) furthermore rotate on the grinding surface (14) along a revolving path about the shaft. The improved pan mill is characterized in that it comprises two pairs (17,18; 19,20) of said grinding wheels, each pair being constituted by two mutually identical grinding wheels that are arranged symmetrically with respect to the shaft (15). One (19,20) of the two pairs of grinding wheels is an inner grinding pair, whereas the other pair (17,18) is an outer crushing pair, so as to cover areas of the grinding surface that are substantially annular and partially interfere with each other.
