    摘要: A cutting tool key (100) suitable for mounting and extracting a cutting insert (22) into and from an insert receiving slot (42) of a cutting tool holder blade (24). The key (100) includes an elongated protrusion (40) having first and second engagement portions (82,84) with a pivot axis (Ap) formed in the first engagement portion (82). The insert receiving slot (42) has a holder axis extending in a forward-to-rearward direction, and a clamping-jaw surface (80) facing a base-jaw surface (64). The base jaw surface (64) has a holder-passage (66) opening out to the holder's side surfaces, and the insert (22) has an insert-passage (38) opening out to the insert's lateral surfaces. The first and second engagement portions (82,84) engage the holder-passage (66) and insert-passage (38), respectively, with the pivot axis (Ap) in the holder-passage (66). Rotating the key (100) in an extraction direction about the pivot axis (Ap) applies extraction-force (Fe) on the insert (22). Rotating the key (100) in a mounting direction, opposite to the extraction direction, applies a mounting-force on the insert (22).

    摘要: A drilling tool of the loose top type includes a basic body (1) having two bendable branches (15) having inner support surfaces (17) that are resiliently pressable against side contact surfaces (23) of a replaceable loose top (2). The mounting of the loose top is affected by turning-in from an initial position to an operative end position. An edge (40) along each side contact surface (23) then bends out the branches (15) and subjects the same to a spring force that reaches a maximum in a dead position so as to then decrease somewhat up to the operative end position. During the final phase of the rotary motion, the operator obtains - in a tactile and/or auditory way - confirmation of the loose top indeed reaching its operative end position.
