Bei einer Nachregelung wird beim Momentanwert der Zustandsgrösse mit der Regelung begonnen. Dabei entspricht der Wert der Regelgrösse dem des Leerlaufzustandes. Dies bringt den Vorteil eines definierten Ausgangspunktes für die Regelung. Eine Regeleinrichtung zur Durchführung des Regelverfahrens weist eine Serienschaltung aus einem Eingangskreis, einen Regelkreis mit einer Simuliereinrichtung für die Regelung einer Vorrichtung und einen Steuerkreis für eventuell mit der Vorrichtung verkettete andere Maschinen auf. Dabei ist die Simuliereinrichtung nach Kennlinien oder Vorrichtungsparametern einstellbar.
    Eine andere Regeleinrichtung erfüllt dieselbe Funktion unter Verwendung eines Rechners mit entsprechend modifizierten Gliedern.
