Abstract:
A method for cutting tubular members, particularly legs, for supporting structures using at least one travelling wire having suitable cutting parts is described.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for crushing a metal dross block and/or metal extension (10), wherein the metal dross block and/or metal extension (10) is at least partly cut using a cable saw (11).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wire cutting system and method for subsea cutting of large structures (6). The system includes two feeding towers (2) with feeding tower first ends secured into a seabed floor. A crossbeam (1) is located between the two feeding towers (2). Wire feeding trolleys (8) are connected to the feeding towers (2), whereby the wire feeding trolleys (8) are allowed to move a cutting distance along the feeding towers. A cutting wire (4) traverses between the wire feeding trolleys.

Abstract:
Abstract:
A process is disclosed for cutting an initial moulded body (10) having a determined hardness and plasticity into a plurality of finished moulded bodies (24) by means of a cutting wire tool (20) that describes during the cutting process an advance motion (v2) relatively to the initial moulded body (10) and a cutting motion (v1) in an at least approximately perpendicular direction to the advance motion (v2). Advance and cutting motions (v2, v1) define the corresponding parting plane (18, 22) of the initial moulded body (10) between adjacent finished moulded bodies (24). The length (L) of the cutting wire (20) is several times the size (b) of the initial moulded body (10) in the direction of the cutting motion. During the cutting process, the cutting wire (20) unwinds at a constant cutting speed (v1) from first feeding means (30) and is wound on second feeding means (32).
Abstract:
Abstract:
Method for cutting an underwater structure below the level of the seabed on which it is installed, comprising the following steps: a step of positioning cutting means and penetrating means associated with said cutting means in close proximity to the underwater structure to be cut, at the intersection region between said structure and the seabed; a step of causing both said penetrating means and said cutting means associated therewith to penetrate into said seabed in a substantially longitudinal direction to a portion of said structure which is embedded in the seabed; and a cutting step which includes actuating and driving said cutting means and said penetrating means in a substantially perpendicular direction to said embedded portion so as to cut said structure below the level of the seabed; and apparatus for carrying out such a method.
Abstract:
A wire saw for cutting pipe is provided including a saddle forming a saddle surface for abutting against a cylindrical pipe, an elongate guide fixed to the saddle, a bow having a first and second end, a bridge portion joining the first and second ends, and an open end having a length L from the first end to the second end which is greater than a diameter D of the pipe, a wire loop movable along a track formed within the bow, and a cooling system for actively cooling the wire loop. The elongate guide has an axis approximately perpendicular to an axis of the pipe when the pipe is abutting against the saddle. An exposed portion of the wire loop extends across the open end. The how is moveable on the elongate guide toward and away from the pipe when the pipe is abutting against the saddle.
Abstract:
A machine for cutting structural members such as legs, beams, I-beams or the like for supporting structures made of steel, concrete, steel and concrete, stone-like materials is described
