For the production of such shaft bottoms (20), a mould is proposed which has a substantially cylindrical casing (132) and a mould core (131). The mould core (131) has a truncated cone shaped section (134) which tapers to the top in the position of use, the top end (133) of which is hemispherical. In order to form the channel (9) in the shaft bottom (20), two channel moulded pieces (135) are arranged on the mould core (131). The channel moulded pieces (135) have sleeve-shaped inserts (119).

A plastic liner (200) for protecting a concrete manhole interior surface from corrosion wherein the liner includes provisions for creating a strong interlock between the liner and the interior surfaces. A side of the liner which includes the provisions has a plurality of raised hollow projections (206, 208) with spaced sections. The mechanical lock is created when concrete is poured against the side of the liner with the projections. The concrete at least partially enters the hollow portions (210) and fills the space (222, 224) between the projection sections. The projections (206, 208) also intersect to enhance the mechanical interlock by preventing bulging. Liner sections cover essentially all of the manhole interior surfaces. Forming the liner by rotationally molding the plastic and cutting gaps (214) into the projections (206, 208) is also disclosed.

The parts are shaped in a mould consisting of a core (15), a casing (20) and a lower sleeve (24) into which the moulding compound is poured and compressed by vibration. During production, in shaping from the moulding compound, at least one support (25 to 28) on which a foot may be placed is formed from inside in the shape of a recess (30 to 33), for which purpose the core (15) has one mould body (55 to 58) per recess (30 to 33) to be formed with a shape corresponding to that of the recess. After this shaping process the finished moulding (11) is removed from the mould before the binder has set inn the concrete.

Pendant la fabrication est menagé depuis l'intérieur au moins un support (25 à 28) permettant de poser un pied, sous la forme d'une cavité (30 à 33) et faisant partie intégrante de la pièce moulée (11) lors du moulage directement dans la matière moulable de cette dernière, le noyau de moule (15) présentant pour chaque cavité (30 à 33) un corps de moule (55 à 58) correspondant à cette cavité. Après ce façonnage, la pièce moulée terminée (11) est immédiatement démoulée avant la prise du liant dans le béton.
