The present invention relates to a press suitable for forming hot blanks into components. The press of this invention includes a mechanical press, which may be servo-driven, a hydraulically controlled bolster and a stationary bed. The mechanical press is adapted for vertical reciprocal movement towards the stationary bed for hot forming the blanks placed in dies on the stationary bed. The hydraulically controlled bolster is adapted for quenching the hot formed blank placed on the die. The present invention relates also to a method of hot forming or hot stamping blanks using the press of the present invention.

The invention relates to a press for producing a pellet out of powdered material, and comprising: a press frame that has an upper and a lower retainer plate interconnected by a plurality of vertical spacers, and that has at least one support element arranged between said upper and lower retainer plates; at least one upper ram unit comprising at least one upper press ram, and/or at least one lower ram unit comprising at least one lower press ram; and at least one receiving portion for powdered material to be pressed by said upper and/or lower press ram; and also at least one upper drive unit which comprises at least one upper drive motor for displacing the upper ram unit in a vertical direction, and/or at least one lower drive unit which comprises at least one lower drive motor for displacing the lower ram unit, and/or the receiving portion, in a vertical direction. Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Pressblech 1 oder Endlosband zur Prägung von Werkstoffen, insbesondere Holzwerkstoffen oder Kunststoffmaterialien, mittels einer Oberflächenstrukturierung. Um die Herstellungskosten und den Materialeinsatz deutlich zu reduzieren wird erfindungsgemäß vorgeschlagen, dass ein Sandwichkörper verwendet wird, der aus einem Trägerkörper 10 und einem Prägekörper 11 besteht, wobei diese über ein Haftmittel 12 innig miteinander verbunden sind. Durch entsprechende Auswahl der Haftmittel besteht hierbei die Möglichkeit durch Lösungsmittel die Verbindung jederzeit reversibel aufzuheben und somit einen Austausch des Prägekörpers 11 vorzunehmen.
