The invention provides a flame-retardant and windproof wadding, which is obtained by using a polymer containing an imide ring as a base material and interlacing and compounding it with at least one polyester fiber in a spinning stage; and a preparation method and special equipment thereof. The characteristics and advantages of the present invention are as follows: the flame-retardant and windproof wadding provided by the present invention uses polyimide fiber as the base material and various fibers; through the adjustment of the preparation method and special equipment, the improvement of the windproof, thermal insulation and flame-retardant effect of the wadding is finally realized; and the same time, various fibers in the wadding are highly mixed, forming a homogeneous, moderately cross-linked and fluffy mixed structure, which can greatly reduce the probability of falling off of the layered structure in the traditional process.

A wet laid and hydraulically entangled nonwoven material made from cellulosic fibers and synthetic staple fibers is disclosed. The cellulosic fibers are mixed with the synthetic fibers and formed into a web using a wet lay process. The web is then subjected to multiple hydroentangling processes. In one embodiment, the web is subjected to a first hydroentangling process while being conveyed in a horizontal position. The web is then fed over subsequent hydroentangling drums. Each side of the web is subjected to at least one more hydroentangling process.

The present invention relates to materials comprising a fiber material and an agent having at least one, preferably at least two groups capable of forming a hydrogen bond, having improved tensile strength, in particular wet tensile strength, vis-à-vis fiber materials known from the art. While these fiber materials may be of use in various fields, in particular household products, hygiene products and the like, these fiber materials are of particular use in wound treatment. The present invention also relates to a method for producing these materials.

The present invention relates to a modified cellulosic fibre that comprises anionic moieties in an amount of more than 0.25mol/kg of dry fibre and has applied theron a polymeric modifying agent in an amount of from 0.5 wt.% to 5.0 wt.%, based on dry fibre, the polymeric modifying agent comprising cationic moieties with a charge of at least 1.5meq per gram of polymer and the molar ratio of anionic moieties to cationic moieties contained in the fibre is in the range of from 1:1 to 25:1. The invention furthermore relates to a nonwoven product or paper comprising the modified cellulosic fibre.
