    摘要: The invention relates to a parking brake for a vehicle, comprising a handle (2) which can be displaced in relation to a mounting (6), a coupling unit (3), which tenses a brake cable (4) when the handle (2) is displaced, and a fixing device (17) for fixing the handle (2) in a fixed position. The aim of the invention is to provide a parking brake that can convert a pulling force on a handle into a tensing of the brake cable using constructionally compact, economical means. To this end, the handle (2) can be pulled axially away from the mounting (6) by a guide (5, 7), and a conversion unit (8) is connected to the mounting (6), said unit converting the axial displacement of a part that is associated with the handle (2) into a tensing of the brake cable (4).

    摘要: An aircraft emergency brake system includes a modulating emergency/parking brake valve in fluid communication with and disposed between a pressure source and a wheel brake and a lever assembly operatively connected with the brake valve. The emergency brake system is operative in first and second stages. The lever assembly includes a handle, a lock mechanism and an unlock mechanism. The handle is movable between a non-actuated position and a fully-actuated position. The brake pressure provided to the wheel brake through the brake valve depends on a position of the handle. The lock mechanism is operatively connected with the handle to obstruct the handle from moving from the first stage to the second stage. The unlock mechanism is disposed on the handle to unlock the lock mechanism allowing movement of the handle to the second stage position from the first stage position.

    摘要: A vehicle hand brake lever assembly (10) for actuating a vehicle parking brake includes an axially slidable plunger (12) mounted via a ratched mechanism on a support and having one end connected with a brake actuating member. The ratched mechanism can be released by rotating the plunger (12) about its longitudinal axis. A handle assembly at the other end of the plunger comprises a handle shaft (11 c). A sleeve (19) fitted together with a guide member (20) is secured to the plunger end, and a lock member (22) fixed at the handle shaft is received slidably in the guide member and cooperates while being spring (23) biased with a cam profile (19a,22a) on the sleeve. Further, projections (22b) of the lock member (22) can be brought into engagement with respective cutouts in the sleeve by pulling the handle shaft against the biasing force thereby connecting the handle shaft (11c) with the plunger (12) which now is able to be rotated so that the ratched mechanism can be released.
