Each dolly member includes and at least one connecting segment comprising a slot and a base. A connected orientation, of any two of the dolly members, comprises a confronting relation of the bases of engaging connecting segments and an aligned orientation of corresponding passages formed therein, so as to concurrently and removably receive and retain a castor in interconnecting relation to the confronting bases. Each dolly member may also include at least one supporting segment structured to receive a castor therein.

摘要： Carts, trolleys or like load-carrying apparatus, for example a wheelbarrow, are disclosed. They incorporate two wheels (2, 3) which rotate about separate axes of rotation (4, 5) which are coplanar but inclined to one another, preferably at an angle (α) between 50 ° and 100 °. They are mounted on a base structure or frame (1) in such a way that when the apparatus rests on horizontal ground, the plane containing the axes of rotation of the wheels (4, 5) may be moved to be vertical to allow the wheels to turn easily as the apparatus is moved along the ground, and moved away from vertical to cause the entire apparatus to be braked (as the wheels then try to travel in different directions across the ground). This principle may be applied to three and four-wheeled load-carrying apparatus.

This can be achieved by mounting the trolley wheels (1, 2) so that they, and the axles (32) on which they are mounted for free rotation, can, preferably independently, swivel about a horizontal axis displaced from (and lower than) the level at which the wheels are mounted on their respective axles. The wheels are preferably set at a high positive camber angle. Letting the wheels swivel materially improves handling on rough terrain. The trolley is preferably foldable to save space when being transported or stored.

摘要： The present invention is directed to a modular dolly and kit that is easy to assemble and disassemble and store, and also easy to manipulate into desired shapes and sizes, such that the inventive dolly can be used to transport loads that varying in weight and size. In addition, the present invention is directed to one or more embodiments of a castor assembly which may be used with the modular dolly assembly, or with other type dolly assemblies or support platforms. The castor assembly includes a one piece base comprising a housing and a head integrally connected to the housing and extending radially outward from one end thereof. The housing includes an open interior and a open end structured to movably retain a surface engaging roller ball therein. A retaining portion may be formed on said base in cooperative relation with said head so as to secure a support platform to the base when in a first operative position. A second operative position comprises said head disposed in engagable and at least partially supporting relation to an object while the base is not secured to or used in combination with a dolly or other support platform.
