摘要： A system for locking and covering upwardly open shopping carts (30) comprises a first part (5) and a second part (6). The first part (5) comprises a top part (7) and a frame (2), said top part (7) covering a first section of the upper portion of a shopping cart (30) positioned in the system (1), and said frame (2) encloses and secures the upper portion of the shopping cart (30) in such a manner that the shopping cart (30) can be released only by movement towards a non-secured side of the shopping cart (30). The second part (6) is covering the remainder of upper section of the shopping cart in order to prevent access to its interior. The system (1) comprises means (4) for pulling out the second part (6) in the same direction in which a secured shopping cart is to be released from the frame (2); and the system (1) comprises means for locking the second part (6) in a given position, and means (12) for securing the shopping cart in relation to the second part (6).
