摘要:
The process and the relating machine (1)for winding up and binding, by means of a tape, lengths of filiform elements, such as cables, ropes and the like, in particular mains cords (3), involve two main working stations (4, 6) which are complementary to each other. Station (4) for preparing the skein (M) is served by a clamp group (40) which takes the cord (3) and positions it, for winding up, around a couple of pins (43) spaced ad lib. Subsequently, a clamp group (60) grasps the skein, transferring it to the binding station (6) where a couple of lateral clamps (66,66') lower it onto a tape (70) of thermo-weldable plastic material which envelops the skein around its middle portion, which tape is welded and cut in such a manner so as to maintain it continuous and in a stretched condition.

Suture dispensers for retaining armed sutures are disclosed. The dispenser disclosed is comprised of two flat panels of material that each have a central opening. A needle park is provided so that the needle is visible in and accessible though the central openings. In preferred embodiments, the needle park is made of a thin sheet of clear material. Several alternate needle park designs are also disclosed. The two panels are preferably locked together using edge locks in the form of corresponding slits and tabs formed on the panels themselves. In addition to being inexpensive, easy to manufacture and easy to fill, the disclosed dispensers is much thinner than current designs and thus requires less storage and shipping space. Methods of loading dispensers are also disclosed. By winding the suture material in a flat spiral around a set of winding pins, the disclosed dispensers can be easily and accurately filled, yet the resulting coiled suture can be withdrawn via the central openings without twisting or kinking the suture material. In certain embodiments pressure on the central portion of the panels permits winding a spiral without the need for a central winding core. In other embodiments, pins are used to both align the panels and provide a winding guide for the suture material.

Improvements in the wire winding and tying machines, useful in the winding of steel wire ropes or the like, comprising a clip and a conveying unit of the already cut ferrous wire (8) up to the winding plate(20), with the wound hanks (10) between a pair of winding fingers (11) located at the respective grooves (18) of the winding plate(20), in a way such that the ferrous wire dispenser comprises a flattening stretcher (33), a stop (35) and a carriage (36) driven on the guide (32) a pair of supports (39 and 40) with respective cutting blades (31 and 41) and the ferrous wire transferror to the clip and conveying unit, the ferrous wire remaining fixed to the carriage (36) by means of a cylinder (38), said carriage (36) being linked to a cylinder (37) to supply wire during the wire predetermined running.

Systems and methods for hanking a cable (120) are disclosed. A hanked cable may be formed by winding the cable around two or more mandrels (108, 110) attached to support members (106a, 106b) of a winding fixture (101). At least one of the mandrels (108) can be removeably attached to the winding fixture (101) to facilitate clamping the cable (120) between the mandrel (108) and the support member (106a). The distance between mandrels (may be varied by including, in the winding fixture (101), an adjustable stage (104) for adjusting the relative positions of the mandrels. Once the cable (120) is wound into a hanked configuration, it may be wrapped with a semi-rigid wrapping member (122) to help retain the hanked shape.
