摘要： There is disclosed a sheet distribution device in which when sheets are discharged to each distribution bin by a sheet moving means, reduced is a period of time required for shifting to the next sheet moving operation after one sheet moving operation is finished. The sheet distribution device receives image formed sheets 2 from an image forming device 1 and distributes and stores the sheets 2 into plural distribution bins 4. The sheet distribution device is provided with a post-processing means for post-processing the sheets 2 stored in the distribution bin 4, a sheet bunch pushing member 50 for moving the sheets 2 stored in the distribution bin 4 along the guide hole 28 in the distribution bin 4 to the post-processing means, and a guide rail 41 for elevating or lowering the sheet bunch pushing member 50. When the sheet bunch pushing member 50 is moved along the guide rail 41, the sheet bunch pushing member 50 can be moved in a direction in which the engagement with the guide hole 28 is released.

摘要： There is disclosed a sheet distribution device in which by using a junction conveying means for conveying sheets from a main sorter unit to a slave sorter unit also as a first conveying portion of the sheet distribution device when sheet distribution devices are interconnected, the manufacture cost of the sheet distribution device is reduced. The interconnectable sheet distribution device is provided with a first conveying portion 5A for receiving an image formed sheet 2 from an image forming device 1 to convey the sheet into a body and a second conveying portion 5B for receiving the sheet 2 from the first conveying portion 5A to convey the sheet to each of plural distribution bins 4. At the time of interconnection, a third conveying portion 5D (junction conveying means) for conveying the sheet 2 from a main sorter unit S1 to a slave sorter unit S2 is used also as the first conveying portion 5A. The sheet distribution device has a space for storing the first conveying portion 5A at the time of interconnection.

The position regulating member is constituted of a stopper member 45 and a sheet matching member 40 which differ in modulus of elasticity from each other. At the time of discharging the sheet and at the time of matching the sheet, the stopper member 45 is moved relative to the sheet matching member 40 to advance or retreat in a sheet conveying direction.

摘要： A recorded sheet (34) is turned from a face-up condition to a face-down condition by horizontal transport belts (13), a first guide member (5), vertical transport belts (14), and a second guide member (33). The recorded sheet is guided to a discharge device (31), and discharged to a tray (2) by the discharge device (31). During a sorting action, the discharge device (31) is transferred by a transfer device (20) to the tray (2) to which a sheet (34) is to be discharged. In response to this transfer, a hold member (35) is extended or shortened in a vertical direction and holds a sheet (34) being transported between the hold member (35) and the vertical transport belts (13) in such a manner as to avoid interference with its transport, so that the sheet can be prevented from falling by gravity.

摘要： A sheet sorting apparatus for depositing a sheet (5) from a printer in one of a plurality of output trays (12, 13, 14). The apparatus has a pair of rollers (112A, 112B) that moves the sheet (5), leading edge first, out of the printer. As the sheet exits the rollers (112A, 112B), it encounters a deflector (110). Depending on the position of the deflector (110), the sheet (5) either moves into a first output tray (12) or to a flipper assembly (11). The flipper assembly (11) inverts the sheet (5) so that trailing edge of the sheet (5) exits the flipper assembly (11) before the leading edge of a sheet (5). A continuous belt (115) removes the sheet (5) from the flipper assembly (11) trailing edge first. Finally, a distribution head (30), which is movable along the continuous belt (115), is positioned adjacent to the one of a plurality of output trays (13, 14) prior to the arrival of the sheet (5). The distribution head (30) then removes the sheet (5) from the belt (115) and directs it to the output tray (13, 14).
