To alleviate the ear block discomfort of passengers without causing any undue reduction in the operational efficiency of an elevator. A travel distance calculating section 13 calculates a travel distance of a car room 1 based on destination floor information 12a and a car position command signal 3a, and output travel distance information 13a to a speed pattern generating section 14. The speed pattern generating section 14 compares the travel distance with a predetermined distance, generates a speed pattern 14a of a normal operation if the travel distance is short, and generates the speed pattern 14a of a partially low speed operation If the travel distance is long. The predetermined distance indicates a difference in height corresponding to a difference in air pressure that causes the Eustachian tube to open against ear block discomfort by a passenger. A speed control section 24 makes the car room 1 move up and down based on the speed pattern 14a. This allows the car room 1 to move at low speed after the first opening of the Eustachian tube, and therefore an interval in time when the car room 1 moves of a distance of the difference in height causing another ear block discomfort is made long. The ear block discomfort of passengers may thus be alleviated.

Beim Verfahren einer Aufzugskabine (2) in einem Aufzugsschacht (2) entstehen oberhalb bzw. unterhalb, seitlich und rückwärtig der Aufzugskabine (2) Druckzonen (D1-D5). Bei einer Aufwärtsfahrt wird die Luft im Aufzugsschacht (1) oberhalb der Kabinenedecke (7) komprimiert und strömt zwischen den Seitenwänden und der Rückwand der Aufzugskabine (2) und der Schachtwand (9) durch, wobei sich Druckzonen aufbauen. Oberhalb der Kabinendecke (7) entsteht eine Druckzone (D5) mit maximalem Luftdruck. Im Spalt zwischen den Kabinenwänden und den Schachtwänden werden Druckzonen mit unterschiedlichen Luftdrucken (D1-D4) aufgebaut. Die unterschiedlichen Druckzonen werden für eine natürliche, geräuscharme Kabinenbelüftung ausgenutzt.

Provided is a cooling device of an elevator which makes complicated maintenance work unnecessary and can obtain a necessary cooling effect. For this purpose, a cooling device of an elevator which cools apparatus provided in a car of the elevator includes an air intake section which introduces an airflow caused by the running wind during the ascent and descent of the car into the interior of the apparatus, an air discharge section which discharges the air in the interior of the apparatus to outside the apparatus, and foreign matter separating means which is provided in the air intake section and separates foreign matter contained in the airflow by using at least either a centrifugal force or gravitational force which acts on the foreign matter. The air intake section is configured in such a manner that the airflow whose foreign matter is separated by the foreign matter separating means and whose foreign matter content is lowered from the foreign matter content before the separation, is introduced into the interior of the apparatus.
