Die Erfindung schlägt ein Verfahren zum Entlüften einer mittels eines elastischen Stopfens (10) verschlossenen, gefüllten Flasche vor, wobei der in die Flaschenöffnung eingesteckte Stopfen deformiert wird, derart, dass im Dichtbereich von Stopfen und Flasche eine Luftauslassöffnung gebildet ist. Eine Vorrichtung zur Durchführung des Verfahrens weist eine Quetscheinrichtung (23, 24) auf, die auf mindestens einer Seite des Stopfens angeordnet ist und in einer Richtung parallel zur durch die Flaschenöffnung gehenden Ebene wirksam ist. Die Erfindung stellt sicher, dass bei gefüllten Flaschen der in diese eingesteckte Stopfen nicht durch Überdruck in der Flasche aus dieser herausgedrückt werden kann. Beim Einstecken des Stopfens in die Flasche erfolgt über die Luftauslassöffnung ein Druckausgleich zwischen Flascheninnenraum und der Atmosphäre.

The process comprises the insertion of an end of the stopper (22) fully into the cap (14) and, before, during or after this insertion, the forced combined introduction of the cap (14) and of the stopper (22) into the neck (N) of the bottle as far as a final closure position.
