摘要: A preset fluid dispensing meter 10 is provided with a trigger 20 which pivots on a shaft 18 operating a valve 16 and which is capable of operating: (a) in a manual dispense mode; (b) in a mode where it may be latched on until unlatched manually; or (c) which may be set to dispense a predetermined amount of fluid before termination of dispensing. A solenoid 22 operates a catch 24 which rocks away from the trigger 20 thereby allowing the spring loaded valve stem 18 to close once the trigger 20 is no longer restrained.

A handle lever 5 for the nozzle, which is designed having an elongated and enlarged end, includes elongated slots 40 that are pivotally pinned through both the latch plate 19 and the handle link 28 in order to reduce the space between the interconnection between the front of the latch plate to the bottom of the automatic shutoff stem 17, such that by lessening the distance between these components, thereby reducing the fulcrum point for the calculation of the force necessary to open the nozzle by raising its handle lever, and reduces the force necessary to achieve nozzle opening and actuation, to less than 3,4 kPa pressure during usage and application.
