L'invention a pour objet une composition de teinture comprenant un colorant thiol ou disulfure à chromophore hémicyanine styryle, un procédé de coloration avec effet éclaircissant de matières kératiniques, en particulier les fibres kératiniques, notamment humaines telles que les cheveux, mettant en oeuvre ladite composition. Elle a de même pour objet de nouveaux colorants à chromophore hémicyanine styryle thiol et leurs utilisations dans l'éclaircissement des matières kératiniques.
