    摘要: A moisture and temperature resistant electrical connector has a body (110) containing a terminal (116), for sealingly connecting transmission means (122) and containing a gel-like sealant composition disposed along or adjacent to the terminal within the connector body. The gel-like sealant composition includes an elastomeric thermoplastic polymer and an extender for the polymer. The extender comprises a major portion by weight of the composition and the polymer comprises a minor proportion by weight of the composition. The elastomeric thermoplastic polymer comprises a first elastomeric thermoplastic polymer and a second elastomeric thermoplastic polymer. The melt viscosity of the second polymer is at least about 50 times greater than the melt viscosity of the first polymer. The weight ratio of the second polymer to the first polymer is from about 1:20 to about 1:5.

    摘要: The invention relates to sealant compositions containing vegetable or animal oil, a mineral oil, a filler and a substance which is able to reduce the specific weight, as ingredients.
    The sealant compositions according to the invention are characterized in that they contain silicas and a surfactant.
    Furthermore the invention relates to a process for the preparation of the above disclosed sealant compositions, characterized in that a vegetable or animal oil, a mineral oil, silicas and a surfactant are throughly blended under obtaining a homogeneous blend, whereupon to the obtained blend under vigorous stirring there are added a substance for reducing the specific weight, filler and optionally a dye, wherein the stirring is continued until a homogeneous sealant composition is obtained.

Specifically, a carboxylic acid ester having a molecular weight of not less than 400 is used as a plasticizer, a phenolic compound having a molecular weight of not less 300 is used as an antioxidant, an aliphatic hydrocarbon having not less than 19 carbon atoms (for example, microcrystalline wax) is used as a lubricant, and an alkylamine ethylene oxide adduct having a molecular weight of not less than 350 is used as an antistatic agent.
