Abstract:
A washing machine (11) comprises a drum (28) for washing laundry therein, a drive motor (30) for the drum, and a drum receiving container in which the drum is arranged rotatably about an axis of rotation. Protrusions (42) are provided on the inside of the circumferential wall of the drum receiving container, each protrusion having a closable inside space which is accessible by openings (45). The openings can be opened and closed by controllable closing means (48). A washing machine control is connected with the pump (21) and with a drive motor control for the drive motor of the drum. The rotational position of the drum is exactly determined. An unbalance is detected and located exactly. By letting water out of one or more of the protrusions in defined manner, the unbalance can be reduced or even eliminated.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a clothes processing device comprising: a cabinet; a tub which is provided inside the cabinet and stores washing water therein; a drum which is rotatably provided inside the tub and stores clothes therein; a housing fixed to the drum; an accommodation space which is provided inside the housing and forms a closed curve; a balancing unit which is provided to be movable inside the accommodation space so as to solve an unbalanced state of the drum; a ring connected to the balancing unit in order to move the balancing unit; and an operation part for moving the ring, wherein the balancing unit is rotatable by 360 degrees along the accommodation space.
Abstract:
A laundry treating apparatus is provided. The laundry treating apparatus includes a cabinet (11), a drum accommodated in the cabinet (11), a tub (16) accommodating the drum, and a dynamic absorber (20) provided to absorb oscillation of the cabinet (11). The dynamic absorber (20) includes a support plate (21) coupled to the cabinet (11), a first moving mass (23) movably disposed on the support plate (21) to absorb oscillation transmitted to the cabinet (11), and a second moving mass (24) movably disposed on the support plate (21) to absorb oscillation transmitted to the cabinet (11). A support (28) comes into line or point contact with a bottom surface of the first moving mass (23) so that the first moving mass (23) has an attenuation ratio.
Abstract:
A fabric treating appliance (10) includes a chassis (12) defining an interior (26). A tub (34) is provided in the interior (26) defining a liquid chamber (28). A rotatable drum (42) is located within the tub (34) to define a treating chamber (44) for treating laundry articles according to a cycle of operation. A rear drive plate (304) is provided at one end of the drum (42). A motor (58) is provided within in the liquid chamber (28) of the tub (34) and extends through the rear drive plate (304) to rotate the drum (42) according to the cycle of operation. The drive plate (304) is spaced from the tub (34) by a gap (324) and a labyrinth seal (300) provides a labyrinth path (316) around the motor (58) for liquid passing through said gap (324).
Abstract:
A fabric treating appliance (10) for treating an article according to a cycle of operation includes a chassis (12) defining an interior (26) with a tub (34) disposed in the interior (26), the tub (34) defining a liquid chamber (28). A drum (42) is provided within the liquid chamber (28) to define a treating chamber (44). An exoskeleton (40) is disposed within the liquid chamber (28)and houses the drum (42) A front frame (207) mounts to the drum (42) and forms at least a portion of the exoskeleton (40).
Abstract:
