Die Erfindung betrifft einen Schalldämpfer (1), insbesondere Fahrzeugschalldämpfer, mit einem durchgehenden Rohr (2) sowie einer ersten Resonatorkammer (14) und einer zweiten Resonatorkammer (15), die jeweils das Rohr (2) umgeben und in axialer Richtung hintereinander angeordnet sind, wobei das Rohr (2) in seinem Mantel (3) zumindest eine erste Öffnung (7), die in die erste Resonatorkammer (14) mündet, und zumindest eine zweite Öffnung (8), die in die zweite Resonatorkammer (15) mündet, aufweist.
