    摘要: The present application relates to a spark containment cap. The cap forms a sealed cavity around an end of a fastener (120) protruding from a structure (110). The cap has a cap body with an annular base terminating at a rim which surrounds an opening into an air cavity arranged to enclose the end of the fastener. An annular sealing volume extends around the rim arranged to receive an annular bead of a curable sealing material (280) around the opening into the cavity to provide a seal between the cap body and the structure to seal a volume of gas within the cavity. An engaging feature is configured to engage with the end of the fastener to prevent rotation of the fastener relative to the cap when the end of the fastener is received by the cap. The present application also relates to a fastening system, a joint, an aircraft and a method of securing a fastener and a spark containment cap to a structure. The present application further relates to a spark prevention rivet.

    摘要: The invention relates to a self-supporting structure formed by assembling at least two composite material sandwich structure panels. Said two panels have, respectively, two assembly portions having complementary profile elements (31, 32) that each have at least one means for clamping the panels that is located along the complementary profile elements. Said clamping means (35, 36) can occupy an active state for maximum clamping of the two panels. The assembly portions are profiled such that, when the clamping means occupy the active state, the two interlocking panels have a three-dimensional shape corresponding to that of said two panels in the structure to be created and form a self-supporting substructure. The invention also relates to the method for assembling said structure, to the panel from which the assembly is created, and to a motor vehicle, the body and/or chassis of which is formed from an assembly of said panels.

The present invention also relates to a corresponding method for coating a substrate with a sealing compound.

    摘要: A sealant containment assembly for enclosing fasteners disposed within a confined space. The sealant containment assembly includes a first containment member and a second containment member that extend between two surfaces. The first and second containment members each include structure-engaging ends for engaging a structural member and the first and second containment members each include enclosure ends that connect the first and second containment members together to enclose the fasteners within a confined space defined by the first and second containment members, the first and second surfaces, the structural member and the connected enclosure ends. The assembly also includes at least one injection port disposed outside of the confined space but is in communication with at least one distribution port disposed inside the confined space for filling the confined space with sealant, thereby embedding the fasteners in sealant.
