Bei einem Waschaggregat für eine Waschmaschine, das einen aus Kunststoff gefertigten Laugenbehälter mit einem durch Kunststoffumspritzen in dessen Boden (9) gehaltenen metallischen Lagergehäuse (12) zur Aufnahme von mindestens einem ersten und einem zweiten Lager (10, 11) zur fliegenden Lagerung eines am Boden (5) einer im Laugenbehälter drehbar angeordneten Waschtrommel befestigten Wellenzapfens (6) umfasst sowie einen trommelseitig vor dem ersten Lager (10) angeordneten Wellendichtring (14) mit am Innenumfang ausgebildeten dynamischen Dichtungslippen und einem am Außenumfang vorgesehenen, an einem Dichtringsitz positionierten statischen Dichtflansch (18) aufweist, ist der Dichtringsitz durch einen metallischen Dichtungssitz (19) am Lagergehäuse (12) und einen durch eine Stufe im Lagergehäuse (12) radial versetzt angeordneten Kunststoffdichtungssitz (20) an dem das Lagergehäuse (12) einfassenden Boden (9) des Laugenbehälters gebildet, wobei am Dichtflansch (18) eine am Kunststoffdichtungssitz (20) statisch abdichtende, dickwandige, elastische Ringmanschette (21) vorgesehen ist. Das so ausgebildete Waschaggregat zeichnet sich durch eine sichere Abdichtung und eine lange Lebensdauer aus.

The wear-resistant sleeve (42) is axially mounted around the trunk (411) of the shaft body (41). The wear-resistant sleeve (42) has a top edge abutting against a bottom surface of the stop ring (413) of the shaft body (41). With the wear-resistant sleeve (42) protecting the shaft body (41) from direct friction, the shaft body (41) is unlikely to be worn and damaged after long-term use, thereby ensuring watertightness.

A low friction shielded bearing assembly (10) for supporting a machine shaft (24), for example a spindle shaft of a food cutting machine, includes a rolling elements radial and thrust bearing subassembly (32) containing ball or roller elements (34) supported between inner and outer relatively rotatable bearing races (42, 44) with seal elements (38, 40) for retaining lubricant within the bearing subassembly (32). A flanged, fretting and corrosion resistant sleeve (54) is fixed within the inner race (42) of the bearing subassembly (32) with the flange (62) of the sleeve shielding an adjacent bearing seal (40) against direct impingement by sprayed cleaning fluids. The sleeve also transmits radial and thrust loads to the inner race. The bearing location subassembly (32) is retained within an annular retainer (46) that is adjustably attached to a machine frame (12) to permit adjustment of the location of the rotational axis (52) of a shaft (24) supported by the bearing and to permit adjustment of the bearing location axially along the shaft and relative to the machine frame (12). A secondary journal bearing (64) may be provided as a backup to the ball or roller bearing subassembly in the event of a failure of the rolling element bearing and also to enable alignment of a shaft during assembly and disassembly of the shaft relative to the bearing assembly. The journal bearing normally does not contact the shaft during normal operation of the bearing assembly.
