    摘要: The present invention relates to a coupling arrangement adapted for inclusion in a universal-joint-related arrangement (A), comprising a first axle (1) or the like having on one end a U-shaped forked unit (10), and further comprising an 'X'-shaped torque transmission member (3) and a second axle (2) or the like having on one end a U-shaped forked unit (20), wherein the forked unit (10) assigned to the first axle and the cross-member-related and mutually opposing legs (11, 12) of said forked unit (10) are able to co-act with two, of a total of four, mutually opposite arm parts (3a, 3c) of said cross-member (3) and wherein the forked unit (20) of the second axle (2) and its cross-member-related and mutually opposite legs (21, 22) are able to co-act over radial bearing means with two, of a total of four, mutually opposite arm parts (3b, 3d) of said cross-member (3). An arrangement which functions as an axial bearing means includes a number of cross-member-related rod-like elements (9, 19), which function as torsion elements and which are centrally orientated in each of the associated arm parts, wherein the rod-like elements (9, 19) are each intended to urge its particular leg of said forked unit in a direction towards the centre (3') of the cross-member.

    摘要: A weld between a tube yoke and a driveshaft tube can accommodate a greater amount of torsional shear stresses and, therefore, increase the load carrying capacity of a driveshaft assembly. The driveshaft assembly includes a yoke having a sleeve portion and a driveshaft tube having an end that extends about the sleeve portion of the yoke. The end of the tube is secured to the sleeve portion of the yoke by a weld having a shape that traverses multiple planes, such as a sinusoidal, saw-tooth, or square tooth shape. The weld occupies a greater area and, thus, has a greater surface contact between the sleeve portion of the yoke and the end of the driveshaft tube. The force vectors of the torsional shear stress sustained by the weld are in multiple planes. As a result, the force vectors of the torsional shear stress impinge the welds at different angles, and the weld has a greater load carrying capacity.

Die Trennung erfolgt durch Bruchtrennen, wozu in den zweiten Lagerbohrungen durch einen Laser entlang einer Linie Bereiche wärmebehandelt werden und dann eine Kraft, konzentriert auf diese Bereiche, aufgebracht wird zu Bruchflächen führt, die einer Sprödbruchfläche entsprechen, so daß nach dem Trennen ein einfaches Zusammenfügen möglich ist, ohne daß eine Nachbearbeitung der Lagerbohrungen erfolgen muß. Hierdurch wird die Montage vereinfacht.

    摘要: An installation structure of a rotation detector for detecting a rotation amount of a rotational shaft such as a kingpin. The installation structure prevents wear and damage to an input shaft of the rotation detector caused by a radial force applied to the input shaft and has high detection accuracy by eliminating slack between the rotational shaft and the input shaft. The rotation detector is fixed to a support member rotatably supporting the rotational shaft such that the input shaft is substantially coaxial with the rotational shaft. The input shaft is coupled to the rotational shaft through a rotation transmitting means. The rotation transmitting means permits the axis of the input shaft to be offset from the axis of the rotational shaft and limits relative rotation between the input shaft and the rotational shaft. When the axis of the input shaft is offset from the axis of the rotational shaft, the radial force applied to the input shaft from the rotational shaft is absorbed and mitigated, and the rotation of the rotational shaft is transmitted to the input shaft without loss.

    摘要: A universal joint assembly is disclosed which prevents the bearing cups from rotating relative to the end yokes during use. In a first embodiment, the arms 21,22 of a half round end yoke 20 are formed having integral tabs 23 which extend over recessed areas 15 of the associated bearing cups 12. The tabs 23 cooperate with shoulders 15a to prevent the bearing cups 12 from rotating relative to the end yoke 20. In a second embodiment of the half round end yoke, retainer straps 34 extending about the outer circumferential surface of the bearing cups 13 are provided with integral flanges 34a. The retainer strap flanges 34a cooperate with the bering cup shoulders 15a in the same manner as the tabs 23 to prevent relative rotation. In a third embodiment, the bearing cups 12 are disposed in openings 42a formed in the arms 42 of a full round end yoke. A retainer strap 43 has end portions 43c which are formed at a slight angle relative to the central portion 43a. In a fourth embodiment, the retainer straps are secured to the full round end yoke by spring clips 61.
