    摘要: The present invention relates to a steering column (1) for a motor vehicle, comprising a supporting unit (3) which can be connected to the body of the vehicle, and a casing unit (21), in which a steering spindle (22) is mounted such that it can be rotated about its longitudinal axis (23) and which is received in the supporting unit (3) such that it can be displaced in the longitudinal direction (L) parallel to the longitudinal axis (23), wherein an energy absorption device (5, 7, 73) is attached between the supporting unit (3) and the casing unit (21), which energy absorption device (5, 7, 73) comprises at least one first bending element (51, 71, 721) with an elongate entry limb (511) arranged parallel to the longitudinal direction, the free end (512) of said limb being connected to a first one of the two elements, the supporting unit (3) or to the casing unit (21), and the other end of said limb transitioning into a bend (513) which is adjoined by a fixed limb (514) connected to the other one of the two elements, the supporting unit (3) or to the casing unit (21). In order to make simplified production and reliable function possible in the event of a crash, the invention proposes that a second bending element (52, 72, 722) is of mirror-symmetrical configuration with respect to a first bending element (51, 71, 721) and is arranged in a mirror-symmetrically adjacent manner with respect to the first bending element (51, 71, 721).

    摘要: A shock absorber includes a cylindrical small diameter portion, a cylindrical large diameter portion, and an annular step portion that connects the small diameter portion and the large diameter portion to each other. The shock absorber absorbs load applied thereto through plastic deformation that starts at the annular step portion. In the deformation, the small diameter portion is folded back into the large diameter portion. The large diameter portion has protrusions, which extend in the direction and protrude radially outward. Therefore, the shock absorber stabilizes turning deformation and is capable of efficiently absorbing impact energy. A bumper device for a vehicle is also provided.
