Es wird ein Wärmeisolierkörper wie eine Wärmedämmplatte geschaffen, deren Isolier- oder Wärmedämmaterial (4) aus einem feinen Pulver insbesondere auf der Basis von Kieselsäureaerogel besteht, das zur Bildung des Körpers gepreßt wird. Zur Durchführung des Preßvorganges wird eine sackförmige Hülle (1) benötigt, jedoch wird zwischen der Hülle (1) und dem Isoliermaterial (4) ein Trennmittel (3) vorgesehen, welches bewirkt, daß sich die Oberfläche des Isoliermaterials (4) nicht mit der Hülle (1) beispielsweise aus Glasseidengewebe innig verkrallt, sondern vielmehr die Hülle (1) nach dem Preßvorgang gegenüber dem Isoliermaterial (4) beweglich ist. Abgesehen davon, daß die Hülle (1) für manche Anwendungsfälle, in denen sie stören würde, auch entfernt werden kann, wird damit überraschend erreicht, daß der Isolierkörper erheblich bessere Biegeeigenschaften besitzt und auch bei Herstellung mit hoher Preßgeschwindigkeit eine homogene Struktur aufweist. Zur Herstellung des Isolierkörpers kann auf die Innenoberfläche der Hülle (1) das Trennmittel (3) aufgetragen, anschließend das teilchenförmige Isoliermaterial (4) eingefüllt und die Hülle (1) verschlossen werden, wonach die Druckbeaufschlagung erfolgt.

The insulated storage tank includes a plurality of insulating panels disposed on an insulation substrate in a circumferential pattern, the insulating panels each in proximate contact with two other panels forming a cylindrical wall. The insulating panels are a rigid structure and provide structural support to an inner liner disposed within the cylindrical wall and operable to be filled with a hot or cold liquid. The cylindrical wall of insulating panels is further supported by a thin outer support jacket. The insulated storage tank has a lid disposed on the insulating panels thereby sealing the contents of the insulated storage tank.

Soundproofing used to insulate sound producing devices or parts of systems, especially devices that transmit variations or vibrators, comprising insulating elements (3, 3a, 3b) that are provided with an inner rim in the direction of the sound source and an outer rim in the direction away from the sound source. A damping diaphragm (4) which is made of a textile material and, more particularly, at least partially consists of glass fibre threads and/or woven wire, is arranged in the region of the inner rim. A solid flat material (9) is introduced into the region of the outer rim. A soft insulating material (7) consisting of a number of cavities is arranged between the solid flat material (9) and the damping diaphragm (4). The inventive insulating element offers optimal usage of all three elements, i.e. damping diaphragm (4), insulating material (7) and at least one reflecting surface on the solid flat material (9). The overall effect should not simply be seen in terms of three superimposed individual effects. The combined inventive arrangement of three elements and the configuration of the damping diaphragm thus described offer more than the sum of the invidual effects.
