    摘要: The present invention relates to a laser interlock system that allows laser radiation to be generated when an inspector and a subject correctly wear safety glasses during use of a photo-acoustic imaging apparatus, thereby protecting the eyes of the inspector and the subject and preventing unnecessary power consumption. The laser interlock system includes a sensing unit to sense whether or not contact between a user and safety glasses occurs, a light source unit to generate laser radiation, and a control unit that determines, based on an output value from the sensing unit, whether or not the user is wearing the safety glasses, and generates an interlock signal to turn on or off the light source unit for selective laser generation according to the determination.
    The sensing unit further includes a left measurement unit and a right measurement unit, wherein the control unit determines whether or not the user wears the safety glasses based on if each of the output values of the left measurement unit and the right measurement unit exceeds a preset first threshold value.

    摘要: An obstruction detection apparatus (44) is provided for use in closing a power driven vent, such as a window, that is located in an opening. The vent includes a first closing edge that moves as the vent is closed and the opening includes a second closing edge that is contacted by the first closing edge when the vent is in a fully closed position. The apparatus includes a detector (52) configured to detect an obstruction at points all along the second closing edge without requiring contact between the obstruction and the vent and to deliver a detection signal when an obstruction is detected. A controller (46) is connected to the detector for receiving the detection signal and delivering a corresponding alarm signal (48).
