摘要: An embodiment of this application provides an optical cable connection apparatus, configured to connect an external optical cable and a drop optical cable. The optical cable connection apparatus includes a first connection mechanism and a second connection mechanism, and the first connection mechanism is detachably connected to the second connection mechanism. The first connection mechanism includes a first connection assembly, and the second connection mechanism includes a second connection assembly, where an end of the first connection assembly is connected to the external optical cable. When the first connection mechanism is connected to the second connection mechanism, the other end of the first connection assembly is connected to an end of the second connection assembly, and the other end of the second connection assembly is connected to the drop optical cable. This reduces construction costs for optical cable deployment, shortens a construction period, reduces construction difficulty, and greatly improves construction efficiency.

摘要: An optical fiber holder that allows high strength fibers to be readily handled with no loss of splicing quality when the optical fiber holder holds a coated optical fiber is provided. An optical fiber holder 1 includes a holder main body 6, and the holder main body 6 has a fiber receiving groove 7 that receives and positions the coated optical fiber exposed out of the optical fiber cord from which a cord jacket is removed at the tip of the optical fiber cord and a cord receiving groove 8 that receives the cord jacket. A cord holding cover 12 and a fiber pressing cover 13 are attached to the holder main body 6 in an openable and closable manner. A cord receiving groove 15 that cooperates with the cord receiving groove 8 to form an insertion through hole having a cross-section being circular and allowing the optical fiber cord to be inserted is formed on the back side of the cord holding cover 12. The diameter of the insertion through hole is slightly greater than that of the cord jacket. The fiber pressing cover 13 presses the coated optical fiber received by the fiber receiving groove 7 against the holder main body 6.

摘要: An optical cable assembly is provided. The cable assembly includes a plurality of subunits surrounded by an outer cable jacket, a furcation unit and optical connectors coupled to the end of each of the subunits. Each of the subunits includes an inner jacket, a plurality of optical fibers; and a tensile strength element. The first tensile strength element and the inner jackets of each subunits are coupled to the furcation unit, and the optical fibers and tensile strength elements of each subunit extend through the furcation unit without being coupled to the furcation unit. The subunit tensile strength element and optical fibers of each subunit are balanced such that both experience axial loading applied to the assembly and, under various loading conditions, the compression of the subunits is controlled and/or the axial loading of the optical fibers is limited to allow proper function of the optical connector.

Cable anchoring and grounding units can be attached at the cable anchor mounting locations. The fiber management assembly can include a fiber break-out arrangement including a resilient grommet used to anchor a protective tube that carries optical fibers from the cable anchor mounting location to the fiber management assembly.
