    摘要： A developer agitating/conveying device comprises at least one partition wall (38) disposed within a housing (10) and having a developer transfer port (50) at the central portion thereof; a first agitating/conveying member (62) disposed along the partition wall (38) on one side of the partition wall and conveying the developer from the opposite end portions toward the central portion thereof, the first agitating/conveying member (62) having a first helical blade (70) and a second helical blade (72); and a second agitating/conveying member (64) disposed along the partition wall (38) on the other side of the partition wall and conveying the developer from the central portion toward the opposite end portions thereof, the second agitating/conveying member (64) having a first helical blade (76) and a second helical blade (78). The first and second helical blades (70, 72) provided on the first agitating/conveying member (62) and helically wound in opposite directions to each other are constructed such that their respective inner end half pitches (702, 722) overlap with a phase angle of 180 degrees relative to each other so as not to intersect each other.

    摘要： A development system for a reproduction machine includes a pair of augers (72,74) which mix and transfer the developer mixture to a magnetic roll brush system (80). The supply auger (72) is positioned in a horizontal plane; the second return auger (74) is at an angle to the first auger. The first auger transports developer material in one direction mixing the developer material and dispensing developer material along its length by gravity to the magnetic brush roll sump. A developer material transport opening (120) at one end allows developer material to be gravity fed to the adjacent end of the inclined auger which carries the developer material uphill. The developer material is transferred at the other end by gravity feed back to the first auger.

    摘要： An image-forming device includes a casing, a process unit, a first shutter, a toner cartridge, a second shutter, and a wall. The process unit is detachably mounted in the casing and formed with a first opening, the process unit having a developer roller carrying a toner. The first shutter opens and closes the first opening. The toner cartridge is detachably mounted in the casing, accommodates the toner, and is formed with a second opening, the second opening being in alignment with the first opening. The second shutter opens and closes the second opening. The wall is disposed between the developer unit and the toner cartridge and is formed with a third opening, the third opening being in alignment with the first opening and the second opening. By providing the wall, the process unit and toner cartridge can be detachably mounted in the casing, thereby avoiding a drop in precision for positioning the process unit and toner cartridge relative to the casing.
