The invention relates to a method for controlling a plurality of components (10, 15, 16) in a form of transport provided with a control appliance (1) having a first control program (20) for a first component (15) and a second control program (21) for a second component (16). Each control program (20, 21) carries out a temporally limited process in order to control the associated components (15, 16). Each process is defined by a starting point and an end point. The starting point is defined by a triggering event. Processes (21, 22, 25, 26, 30) for components (15, 16) that can be controlled in parallel are run on the same control appliance (1). According to the invention, a priority marker is respectively associated with the processes (21, 22, 25, 26, 30), and at the starting point of the first process, it is checked whether another running process has already been executed. If this is the case, the first process is entered in a queuing memory (13), and at the end of a running process, either a natural end or an interruption, said process with the highest priority begins with the control of the associated components. The priority marker is dynamically allocated, and a different priority is allocated to each process in different driving or operating situations of the form of transport.
