Described are systems, methods and computer-program product for replacing a prior input/output (I/O) module and terminal board with a universal I/O device by providing software based instructions and configuration settings for the installer. The method includes provisions for new wiring changes or harnesses as well as preset adapters, converting prior device configuration settings from an I/O module, pack, and/or terminal board to new configuration settings for a programmable I/O device, generating a wiring chart for any wiring changes based on the settings, and displaying the information for the installer and/or programmer's use. This allows a universal I/O device capable of each channel having different operating modes to replace one or more of a mixture of several types of dedicated I/O modules. The installation documentation and configurations are automatically generated, reducing the chance of errors due to misinterpretation of multiple product documents while allowing the automatic transfer of product settings.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur automatischen Konfigurationsparameterkontrolle bei Windenergieanlagen. Dazu werden von der Anlagensteuerung (20) zur Steuerung der Windenergieanlage (10) verwendete Konfigurationsparameter automatisiert zu einem Ist-Konfigurationsparametersatz der Windenergieanlage (10) zusammengefasst und gleichfalls automatisiert mit Soll-Konfigurationsparametern verglichen. Abweichungen zwischen Ist-Konfigurationsparametern und Soll-Konfigurationsparametern führen zur Ausgabe einer Warnmeldung. Die Soll-Konfigurationsparameter können auf Grundlage von Kodierwertblöcken (30-32) mit Informationen über die Windenergieanlage (10) generiert werden und sind in einer Datenbank (25) abgelegt. Das Verfahren der Generierung des Soll-Konfigurationsparametersatzes ist Gegenstand einer nebengeordneten Erfindung. Die Erfindung betrifft weiterhin eine Anordnung zur Durchführung des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens.

A program is executable by the central controller (2) that causes the central controller (2) to identify memories distributed through the industrial control system (1) having programmable data and collect the programmable data from the memories. Accordingly, the collected programmable data may be used to substantially recreate operation of the industrial control system (1) in a second industrial control system having another central controller substantially identical to the central controller (2) and multiple devices (12) connected to the central controller (1) or update the data of the multiple devices (12) or replacements to the multiple devices.
