摘要:
Systems and methods are disclosed for assessing organ and/or tissue transplantation by estimating blood flow through a virtual transplant model by receiving a patient-specific anatomical model of the intended transplant recipient; receiving a patient-specific anatomical model of the intended transplant donor, the model including the vasculature of the organ or tissue that is intended to be transplanted to the recipient; constructing a unified model of the connected system post transplantation, the connected system including the transplanted organ or tissue from the intended transplant donor and the vascular system of the intended transplant recipient; receiving one or more blood flow characteristics of the connected system; assessing the suitability for an actual organ or tissue transplantation using the received blood flow characteristics; and outputting the assessment into an electronic storage medium or display.

The invention relates to a device for processing CT imaging data, comprising a processing unit, which is configured to receive a plurality of sets of CT imaging data recorded at different imaging positions and at different points in time. Furthermore, the processing device is configured to provide a plurality of auxiliary sets of CT imaging data, each auxiliary set of CT imaging data comprising processed image data allocated to spatial positions inside a respective spatial section of the object space, wherein a given one of the spatial sections contains those spatial positions which are covered by those sets of CT imaging data acquired at a respective one of the imaging positions, and to generate the processed image data for a given spatial position using those of the sets of CT imaging data acquired at the respective one of the imaging positions.

The present invention relates to production of 2D digital images suitable for use in medical imaging. The invention particularly relates to remapping X-ray images taken from a first viewpoint so that they present the same image as seen from a second viewpoint. Remapping is achieved by registering separate 2D images taken from the first and second viewpoints of an area with a 3D scan volume of the same region to ascertain their relative viewpoints with respect to the 3D scan volume. The image taken with respect to the first viewpoint is then remapped to yield the image as seen from the second viewpoint.

Embodiments include a system for determining cardiovascular information for a patient. The system may include at least one computer system configured to receive patient-specific data regarding a geometry of the patient's heart, and create a three-dimensional model representing at least a portion of the patient's heart based on the patient-specific data. The at least one computer system may be further configured to create a physics-based model relating to a blood flow characteristic of the patient's heart and determine a fractional flow reserve within the patient's heart based on the three-dimensional model and the physics-based model.

2D images are registered with 3D volume data. In order to provide 2D/3D registration with a facilitated workflow 3D volume data (112) of an object, having a frame of reference is received. A transformation plane (116) is defined in relation to the 3D volume data. A 2D image of the object with an image plane is received. The transformation plane is projected on the image plane. The frame of reference is aligned with the 2D image. At least one alignment interaction value (128) is projected (130) on the transformation plane to determine (134) at least one transformed interaction value (132). The frame of reference is translated with the at least one transformed interaction value.

A system and method is described by which so-called standard angiographic views can be generated using a 3-or 4-D reconstructed image of the object of interest. One preferred example is the reconstruction of coronary angiograms from rotational angiography sequences. Once the 3D image is created, it can be forward projected into the user-defined "standard" views for live presentation during the procedure. It is anticipated that these standard views, which more closely mimic what a physician is accustomed to see, will be more readily accepted by the interventional community.

A method for four dimensional reconstruction of regions exhibiting multiple phases of periodic motion includes the operation of building one or more 3-D reconstructions using a set of 2-D projections. The method further includes the operation of deriving one or more 3-D model segments from each of the one or more 3- D reconstructions, wherein a plurality of 3-D model segments are formed thereby, and wherein each of the one or more 3-D model segments is derived from a single one of the one or more 3-D model segments. The plurality of derived 3-D model segments forms a 4-D reconstruction of the region of interest.
