    摘要: An SF6 gas-isolated switch installation for several switchboard sections, each with a three-pole separating switch and an earthing device. A switchboard section is equipped with a separating switch designed as a transformer switch. This can be a load-break switch, whose phases are combined with cutouts, or a load-isolating breaker. The switch installation has for the support of mobile switch contacts and the connection of cables and/or cutouts appropriate lead-throughs in the housing walls and switch shafts mounted on said walls, as well as omnibus bars for the fixed contact of phases L1, L2 and L3, and individual phase quenching devices directly connected to the omnibus bars (9). The quenching devices of the load-break switches that do not function as as transformer switches are equipped with sheet steel quenching chambers. Breaking ability must be enhanced with no extra space requirement. For this purpose blow-out coils (13, 13a) are introduced according to an arrangement which when in off position meets the requirements for a disconnected section, with a contact arrangement corresponding to the remaining load-break switches for the three phases of the switch designed as a transformer switch.

    摘要: A loadbreak switch (10) is provided that utilizes a pivotally mounted movable jaw contact (14) and a main stationary contact (16) that is positioned in the middle of an arc runner (40). For operation at voltages 15kV and above, the switch (10) utilizes a shunt contact (42) that bridges the arc runner (40) and that is above and coplanar with the main stationary contact (16). A magnetic field is developed by the current that flows through a coil of wire (44) disposed around the arc runner (40). This configuration when utilized in an environment of insulating gas, provides efficient extinguishing of arcs upon opening of the contacts. Further, the open jaw contact is easily visible to establish an open gap.

    摘要: An arc spinner interrupter includes a first fixed electrical contact and a ring electrode coupled to the fixed contact through a field coil surrounding the ring electrode. A second electrical contact has an arm which moves along a path perpendicular to the central longitudinal axis for selective connection with the fixed contact. The arm may have a generally L-shaped configur­ation including an angled portion that extends in a direction parallel to the central longitudinal axis and a conductor extends toward the angled portion through the ring electrode along the central longitudinal axis. The conductor has an inner axial end that is spaced slightly from the angled portion of the arm when the arm is moved to a position intersecting the central longitudinal axis so that a grading function is carried out on the electro­static field surrounding the angled portion of the arm. This grading function serves to limit the stress exerted by the electrostatic field adjacent the angled portion of the arm section. Further, the presence of the conductor within the ring electrode reduces the wear to the angled portion by permitting transfer of an arc from the angled portion during an interruption operation such that heat from the arc is distributed in the conductor rather than in the angled portion. During movement of the second contact away from the fixed contact, electromagnetic forces are simultaneously exerted on the arc due to the general L-shape of the arm of the second contact and move the arc material both toward the ring electrode and in the direction in which the arc spins once it has commuted to the ring electrode.

    摘要: On opening of a circuit breaker, an end portion 19 of a pivotable contact arm 12 disengages from fixed contacts 7 such that an arc is drawn therebetween radially across the pole face of a field coil 9, the end portion 19 moving transversely to the field coil axis. The arc then transfers from the contacts 7 to a tubular electrode 24 thereby bringing the field coil 9 into circuit so that a magnetic field is generated which causes the arc to rotate and become extinguished. In the fully-open position of the circuit breaker, the end portion 19 lies along the field coil axis. The whole assembly is disposed in a housing 2 which contains the highly insulating gas sulphur hexafluoride. A single field coil and electrode can be shared between two such constructions. Arrangements are also disclosed (Figures 11 to 14) in which the initial arc is drawn directly between the contact arm 12 and the electrode 24.

The gas-insulated switchgear (91-97) includes a fixed-side arc shield (13) in the form of a circular plate. The fixed-side arc shield (13) is made of an arc-resistant member and has an opening (13x) of a diameter larger than the outer diameter of the movable conductor (21), the opening (13x) being formed on the side of the fixed-side shield (12) facing the movable-side electrode. The fixed-side arc shield (13) is formed into a thin plate so that the fixed-side arc shield (13) causes an arc current to flow outward in a radial direction during contact parting of the fixed-side conducting contact (11) and the movable conductor (21) to generate magnetic flux on a surface thereof in a circumferential direction that produces a force acted on an arc in the direction of a central axis, thereby restricting the arc in the vicinity of the opening (13x).

    摘要: In a permanent magnet quenching device (6) for quenching arcs in the contact system of load interrupters, a permanent magnet (7) which is provided with magnetic yoke means (11, 12) is supported on a ring element (9) which is galvanically connected to a fixed contact (1) of the load interrupter via retaining clips (8) and forms an arc movement path (10) for the arc foot of an arc produced when disconnecting the contact system. Apart from the arc movement path (10), all free outer surfaces of the permanent magnet quenching device (6) are covered, without gaps, with an integral insulating material sheath (14) which fixes the individual components in their predefined position in a form-fitting manner and insulates the arc movement path from the other metal components of the quenching device.
