Said main contacts (2) and said auxiliary contacts (4) are coupled when said electronic protection device is in said closed state with said handle (8) in said first position (ON). Said main contacts (2) are separated and said auxiliary contacts (4) are coupled when said electronic protection device is in said tripped state with said handle (8) in said second position (TRIP). Said main contacts (2) and said auxiliary contacts (4) are separated when said electronic protection device is in said open state with said handle (8) in said third position (OFF).

A pair of engagement structures are situated on the pair of movable elements and enable the pair of movable elements to be engageable with one another. A biasing element extends between the pair of movable elements and is configured to absorb some of the kinetic energy of a trip event, which resists breakage of the indicator apparatus. The indicator element changes states when the set of separable contacts are at a relatively small amount of separation and does not require the set of separable contacts to reach the end of their travel before changing state.

Um den Aufwand eines Netzbetreibers zur Erkennung und Lokalisierung von ausgelösten Unterbrechungseinheiten (16a, 16b, 16c) zu verringern, wird vorgeschlagen, dass die Einrichtung (17) eine Sensorschnittstelle (21a) zum Anschluss einer Sensoreinheit (21b) zur Erfassung einer für die Unterbrechereinheit (16a, 16b, 16c) spezifischen Messgröße (M), eine mit der Sensorschnittstelle (21a) in Verbindung stehende Auswerteeinheit (20), die zur Erkennung einer Stromänderung hinsichtlich des durch die Unterbrechungseinheit (16a, 16b, 16c) fließenden Stroms anhand der Messgröße (M) eingerichtet ist, und eine mit der Auswerteeinheit (20) in Verbindung stehende Kommunikationsschnittstelle (22a) aufweist, über die im Falle einer erkannten Stromänderung ein Meldesignal (S), das auf einen kritischen Zustand der Unterbrechereinheit hinweist, an eine Kommunikationseinheit (22b) abgebbar ist. A device for protecting electric circuit against electric overloading comprises a casing, in which in addition to an actuating handle (1), an engaging strap (2), an actuating lever (3), a disconnecting lever (4) and a trigger (5) two sensors (81, 82) for detecting velocity are integrated. The first sensor (81) is mounted adjacent to said actuating lever (3) and adjusted to cooperate with a protrusion (34), with which said actuating lever (3) is furnished, and to detect the velocity (Vv) of movement of the actuating lever (3). The second sensor (82) is mounted adjacent to said actuating handle (1) and adjusted to cooperate with a protrusion (12), with which said actuating handle (1) is furnished, and to detect the velocity (Vg) of the actuating handle (1) when rotated around its pivot point (10). Both sensors (81, 82) are connected with a control unit (9), which is on the other hand connected with at least two indicators (91, 92, 92), which are available on said casing and are visible from outside.
