A breaker device according to the invention is excellent in safety because of its construction in which a conductive path is located inside the casing 1 and is allowed to have a compact configuration of particularly low height because a handle 40 can be inclined to its resting position. When the handle 40 is inclined to the resting position while a movable electrode 31 is insufficiently engaged, engaging portions 77 come into contact with receiving portions 75 and a lever action works with the contact positions of the engaging portions 77 and the receiving portions 75 as a fulcrum. As a result, a rotating force applied to an operable portion 40A is translated into a downward acting engaging force applied to the movable electrode 31 via rotation center shafts 45 and a mount body 35. In other words, since the movable electrode 31 is brought into its properly engaged state by inclining the handle 40 to the resting position, the insufficient engagement of the movable electrode 31 can be prevented.

The arc interrupter is configured to receive the arc follower, and the first and second mating connectors are positionable in a disconnected position wherein the arc follower remains engaged to and is located within the arc interrupter. Arc energy is distributed among multiple locations to reduce arc intensity.

    摘要: In a circuit breaker, fixed electrodes 14 in pair are secured in a male housing 13. A female housing 21 which contains a moving electrode 30 is fitted into the male housing 13, whereupon the moving electrode 30 contacts and straddles the fixed electrodes 14 to make a short circuit. The moving electrode 30 comprises in integral combination retainer pieces 32 that are retained in an electrode retainer tube 22 in the female housing 21, a contact lug 31 that either contacts or detaches from the fixed electrodes 14, and a narrow-width joint 33 that joints the retainer pieces 32 and the contact lug 31 to make an integral unit. The narrow-width joint 33 flexes to deform, thereby absorbing the positional offset that develops when the contact lug 31 comes into engagement with the fixed electrodes 14.
