Abstract:
A plasma display panel and a plasma display apparatus are disclosed. The plasma display panel includes a front substrate including a scan electrode and a sustain electrode positioned parallel to each other, an upper dielectric layer positioned on the scan and sustain electrodes, a rear substrate on which an address electrode is positioned to intersect the scan and sustain electrodes, a lower dielectric layer positioned on the address electrode, a barrier rib positioned between the front substrate and the rear substrate to partition a discharge cell, and a phosphor layer positioned inside the discharge cell. The upper dielectric layer includes a glass-based material and a blue pigment. The phosphor layer includes a phosphor material and MgO material.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to pigment compositions, thick film black pigment compositions, conductive single layer thick film compositions, black electrodes made from such black conductive compositions and methods of forming such electrodes, and to the uses of such compositions, electrodes, and methods in flat panel display applications, including alternating-current plasma display panel devices (AC PDP). The pigment composition has the formula Bi (26-x-y) Mn (x) Co (y) 0 (40-z) wherein the sum of x and y is between 7.8 and 20.8 and x or y is at least 1.3.
Abstract:
A dielectric material for a plasma display panel (PDP) device, a PDP device including the same, and a method of manufacturing the PDP device are taught. The dielectric material includes at least three materials selected from the group consisting of Bi 2 O 3 , BaO, SiO 2 , B 2 O 3 , ZnO, and Al 2 O 3 , and a coloring agent Mn 2 O 3 . The dielectric material for a PDP device is environmental-friendly due to being PbO-free, is easily sintered at a relatively low temperature, may be prevented from yellowing by prohibiting the reduction of Ag ions, and may have enhanced light room contrast by effectively reducing external light reflection luminance and thus minimizing luminance reduction.
