An annular bump (8) is formed integrally with the upper periphery of the penetration hole of a lead-alloy bushing (3) buried in the top of the lid for covering the jar. The leading end of the pole (5) passing through the penetration hole of the bushing is inserted into the lower part of the annular bump. A recess (11) is formed on the top of the leading end of the pole so as to be easier to melt the upper portion of the pole, and by welding with the inner wall of the penetration hole of the bushing, the annular bump is later melted, and the bushing penetration hole is filled up with the fused lead.

A mounting plate 1 carries an integral terminal lug 3 incorporating a passageway for receipt of a bolt which will hold in place a connector for an electrical cable on a car battery. An adaptor post 5 (Figure 3) is of circular external shape with a slight upward taper and incorporates a recess. This will precisely match the shape of the terminal lug 3. The post 5 can be placed very firmly over the lug 3 so that there will be secure frictional engagement between these parts to hold the post 5 securely in place. This converts the mounting to one with an alternative type of connector for an electrical cable in the form of a sleeve which is clamped over the post 5.

Die Batterie bleibt darauf ständig betriebsbereit und läßt sich auch äußerlich, etwa nach einer unbefugten Kapazitätsentnahme, nicht mehr in den Originalzustand zurückversetzen. Die nicht reversible Befestigung der Abdeckplatte am Deckel wird durch Schnappkanten bzw. Hinterschneidungen an einem Einschiebeschlitz 11 für das Fügeelement erreicht, in die es nach Überwindung keilförmig geschrägter Vorsprünge am Eingang des Schlitzes (nicht dargestellt) einrastet.

The invention relates to a cylindrical AAA alkaline dry battery including: a positive terminal protruding from one end face of the alkaline dry battery; a negative terminal protruding from the other end face; and an external label covering the alkaline dry battery. The diameter Dp (mm) and protruding height Hp (mm) of the positive terminal and the diameter Dn (mm) and protruding height Hn (mm) of the negative terminal satisfy the relation (1): 2.52‰¤5Dn-Dp‰¤4.1 (1), and the relation (2): 0.8‰¤Hp-Hn‰¤1.1 (2). This permits easy and reliable identification of the polarities of the terminals, making it possible to provide a cylindrical AAA alkaline dry battery which is unlikely to be installed reversely.
