摘要: The invention relates to an electric motor (10) comprising an electromotive brake, in particular for angle grinders, a stator (12) which has at least one pair of poles (16, 18), at least two poles (16, 18), each having a pole shoe (17, 19) which is oriented inward toward a rotor (14) and surrounded by a winding (24). The stator (12) receives at least one braking device (26) for decelerating the rotor (14), said device comprising a braking element (28), wherein the braking element (28) can be moved against the outer circumference of the rotor (14) for the purpose of braking and can be moved counter to the braking force by the magnetic field when the electric motor (10) is energized. According to the invention, the braking device (26) is arranged in the stator (12) in the circumferential direction between the two poles (16, 18) and the braking element (28) is designed as a single-armed brake lever (29) which, at one end thereof, can be pivoted about a pivot point (30) in the stator (12), so that mounting the brake lever (29) by means of a shaft or axle is dispensed with.

摘要: The present invention is organized about the concept of providing an improved pawl brake assembly for use in electromechanical devices such as all electric motors or solenoids. For example, the improved pawl brake assembly (50) may be used for braking the rotor assembly (26) upon de-energization of the motor (2). The pawl brake assembly comprises a pawl arm (52) and a brake portion (56). The pawl brake assembly employs electromagnetic principles to reduce the noise and metal fatigue caused by the undesired excess vibrational motion of a pawl arm when a motor is energized. The novel use of a magnet (80) disposed upon the pawl arm of a pawl brake assembly provides a simple, elegant, and inexpensive solution to the identified noise and metal fatigue problems.

摘要: The present invention relates to a motor with a braking arrangement comprising a stator, a rotor, a shaft fixed to the rotor and a short-circuit ring fixed to an end of the rotor. A brake body rings the shaft and the brake body is provided with first projections projecting towards the short-circuit ring. Each of the first projections comprise at least one beveled surface. The short-circuit ring is provided with second projections, each comprising at least one wedge surface. A magnetic conducting ring separately disposed with respect to the brake body is disposed between the rotor and the brake body. The brake body is discrete from the magnetic conducting ring and therefore can be manufactured independently whilst the projections are exposed on its exterior to simplify manufacture.

The stator includes a first plurality of poles with each pole being surrounded by a coil. The motor rotor includes a second plurality of poles. Current is switched between the coils to bring poles from the second plurality of poles into alignment with corresponding poles from the first plurality of poles to rotate the motor rotor and generate an output torque to drive a vehicle component. A brake rotor is formed on an end face of the motor rotor. Brake pads are selectively brought into frictional contact with the brake rotor to generate a braking force for the vehicle component.
