    摘要: The present invention proposes a hot surface igniter (HSI) controller which is transformerless and which is capable of delivering power from a 120/240 VAC RMS mains voltage, for example, to a load whose nominal operational voltage is equivalent to 24 VAC RMS, for example, sinusoidal full wave AC Voltage. The controller provides an impulse range which is mainly designed to deliver power to hot surface igniter active loads with sufficient thermionic inertia and mass, and where the real voltage shape of supplied power is unimportant. This is achieved by supplying half-cycle pulses to the HIS that are separated by even number of half-cycles that are not supplied to the HIS. Thus the consecutively applied half-cycles are always of opposing polarity.

    摘要: The present invention is a system and method for a direct conversion programmable power source controller. The invention uses a sampling rate optimized for a transformer used to isolate or to step up or step down the power. The power is sampled at the source frequency and that sampling is phase-angle modulated according to a modulating signal at a frequency representing the sum of the frequencies of the power source and the desired output. After passing the power through the transformer, the invention then again chops that power to produce a multiplication of the power sinusoid with the modulation sinusoid. The output is filtered to integrate the waveform and fed to a load in delta. Between any two terminals of the delta connection, the output voltage presents as a well-formed sinusoid of controlled amplitude and frequency.

    摘要: A fixing unit is used for fixing an toner image on a recording medium onto the recording medium. The fixing unit includes a heater (15a) which generates heat when supplied with an electric current. A control circuit (82) selectively output a signal so as to turning ON and OFF a transistor (93). When the transistor is ON, the electric current is supplied to the heater. The signal output from the control circuit includes a pulse portion having pulses and a continues portion having no pulse. When the pulse portion is output, the electric current to the heater is intermittently disrupted. Because, a rush current generated in the electric current is also intermittently disrupted accordingly, flicker in lightning which is sharing a power source with the fixing unit can be prevented.
