    摘要: A system for encoding and applying Dynamic Range Control/Compression (DRC) gain values to a piece of sound program content is described. In particular, a set of DRC gain values representing a DRC gain curve for the piece of content may be divided into frames corresponding to frames of the piece of content. A set of fields may be included with an audio signal representing the piece of content. The additional fields may represent the DRC gain values using linear or spline interpolation. The additional fields may include 1) an initial gain value for each DRC frame, 2) a set of slope values at particular points in the DRC curve, 3) a set of time delta values for each consecutive pair of slope values, and/or 4) one or more gain delta values representing changes of DRC gain values in the DRC gain curve between points of the slope values.

    摘要: A digital compressor for compressing an input audio signal is presented. The digital compressor comprises a compression gain control for providing a compression gain parameter, and a compression parameter determiner for determining a compression ratio from the compression gain parameter. The compression parameter determiner may be configured to weight the compression gain parameter by a predetermined weight factor to obtain the compression ratio. The digital compressor further comprises an auxiliary signal generator for manipulating the input audio signal in dependence of the compression ratio to obtain a first auxiliary signal, and a combiner unit for combining the first auxiliary signal with the compression gain parameter to obtain a second auxiliary signal, and for combining the input audio signal with the second auxiliary signal to obtain the compressed audio signal.

    摘要: The present technology relates to a decoding apparatus, a decoding method and a program which make it possible to obtain sound with higher quality.
    A demultiplexing circuit demultiplexes an input code string into a gain code string and a signal code string. A signal decoding circuit decodes the signal code string to output a time series signal. A gain decoding circuit decodes the gain code string. That is, the gain decoding circuit reads out gain values and gain inclination values at predetermined gain sample positions of the time series signal and interpolation mode information. An interpolation processing unit obtains a gain value at each sample position between two gain sample positions through linear interpolation or non-linear interpolation according to the interpolation mode based on the gain values and the gain inclination values. A gain applying circuit adjusts a gain of the time series signal based on the gain values. The present technology can be applied to a decoding apparatus.
